While doing these things should I keep running so my quads and muscle around my knee get stronger or should I not be running and just be doing these things.

the treadmills at my gym can't be moved when they're off, is it a problem if I simply use a lower speed and press into the treadmill, as this causes me to feel my muscles working and seems to help with knee pain.

I have no cartilage in one knee, have had 2 micro fractures and an osteotmy. I'm avoiding knee replacement. I'm going to try these before I commit to the knee replacement.

Hi! I hope you will reply. I wonder whether your exercises will help me with my Grade 3 meniscus tears on my right leg. My doctor said to me I need to have surgery on my leg, but I am afraid of arthritis later down the road. Other than that my right leg is fine. No arthritis or any other problems besides my injury. I damaged my kneed during hiking mountains in my country. There is no doubt I need to have surgery, but for physical therapy post op? Will it help to get my health back? I was planning to return to BJJ, kickboxing and calisthenics, but this injury destroyed all my plans. Thanks in advance.

Thanks so much for your videos. I've already started doing these workouts (back walks and tibialis raises) and found them very helpful. Question for you. Is it ok to walk (backwards) back and forth on the steps leading to my second floor?

Hope you are well.
I have been doing the backwards walking and the raising of the toes while standing as you suggested and thank God I have not been experiencing any further discomfort in my knees. I will get a little discomfort at certain times but not as before. I can stoop and bend down using my knees and get back up without any pain as I had before.
I had msged you about a month or two ago after seeing your videos on You Tube.
Just to refresh your memory as I know you’d probably receive hundreds or thousands of msgs from people. I began having the discomfort in both knees after doing box jumps from my workout program. I no longer do box jumps or any kind of jumps. Any workouts that entail jumps, I’d do the alternate instead. At least for the while, until perhaps later down the road I can probably resume jumps. I just don’t want to aggravate anything now as my knees are so much better.
Many thanks and my utmost appreciation to you once more for your help and the great work you are doing to help others with knee issues.
I will eventually incorporate your other knee exercises in my daily routine.

I’m 14 and I have patellar tendinopathy/pfp and quadriceps tendinopathy in both legs, I’m doing load management which is working pretty well, I was just wondering would encoorparating atg split squats and Nordics and stuff like that help me be able to play baseball again?

is mobility fixed? are people born with it or can you improve it? ( to a certain extend) for example, the ankle, looking at your knee its very far over the toes, i would say, alot people are not abloe to get that far.

Excellent information!! I've been running a lot lately, I'm 47 and weigh 230lbs and my knee's are hurting a lot at my kneecap especially while walking upstairs. Attempting single leg or two leg squats are painful.

I'm thinking I'll fill up my green utility cart with some logs and pull it backwards and push it forward to mimick your first exercise.

40 year old BJJ blue belt. Just watched this video again while walking backwards on the treadmill. My right knee has been swelling up with intense training and hiking. I'm going to implement the rest of the exercises so i can get back to competing. Tib raises next! Thank you!

This might sound like a dumb comment but I just dont want to do anything wrong. When I joined a gym, I signed a waiver for if I get injured doing something I wasnt supposed to be doing I would not hold them liable. The example the guy used when helping me sign was Walking backwards on a threadmill.
Is it really that weird to walk backwards on a treadmill? Does it always need to be off to do it the way youre suggesting or is it just fine to do it when its on so you look a little less like a 4 year old who was let loose on a Planet Fitness? Just asking because physical therapy is too expensive so im trying to rehab my patellofemoral pain syndrome on my own so I can more comfortably run and cycle long distance.

I’m 4 months post op from ACL reconstruction & meniscus repair. Most of my pain has improved with rehab but I have incredible Patellofemoral pain that has only gotten worse , especially since I’ve started single leg exercises. Doctor says it’s normal until I strengthen my quad but I can’t even do split squats or step downs without immense pain. He just says to push through pain. Would like to hear your thoughts.

Integrity is absolutely important
Also, slantboard jefferson curls and tibialis raises unironically changed my life. I do most of the mobility standards exercises regularly but those 2 in particular I've been doing religiously for about a year. I'm approaching 27 and the most athletic I've ever been

I will start by doing the backward walking outside our yard but, eventually, I’d also look into purchasing a sled. Ben, kindly bear with me, please, as I just thought of two more questions.

1.) Will it matter doing these knee strengthening exercises before or after a workout?

2.) Is a specific time required in doing them or should 5-10 mins be sufficient?
