I was out there the other night catching them in the lights! Great call moving offshore and getting away from the crowds.
ОтветитьJust what I needed. Thank you!
ОтветитьHi Brian, I fished Portsmouth yesterday in my boat and couldn't find a fish to save my life. Would you mind helping me out with a better way to find stripers. ? I am curious as to what area off shore you find the stripers , Thanks.
ОтветитьGood Stuff Brian!
ОтветитьI had a mako about that size steal a haddock from me yesterday out on the New Scantum. Pretty cool to see them, unless I'm watching them take a free meal off my line. This has been a good year for boating some slobs. Good luck.
ОтветитьDo you do charters
ОтветитьGreat stuff! What size circle hooks do you prefer and do you snell them or just use a palomar? I notice you flip the bail and load the rod quicker than I do. Do you do that with smaller fish too?
ОтветитьWild Stuff! Hawg Stripers!!!! Congrats
ОтветитьAny boat recommendations for someone interested in getting into the offshore stuff? Id like to be able to do longer runs for tuna when the weather permits. Not looking for brands/models, more concerned with hull length, outboard size, (dual or single) etc
ОтветитьI’m out of the pisquataqua and all the ponies schools are gone outside the harbor. Do you really just see the stripers on the surface or are they on those jack schools that pop up.
ОтветитьLooks like a porbeagle shark to me. Video makes it look like white behind dorsal for sure but maybe it’s an illusion
ОтветитьHey Capt, I am sure you remember the day on 7/27/20 when a lady off of Bailey's Island here is Maine was killed by a shark while she was swimming with her daughter. It was two days later, I was out there not far from there and being on pins and needles because of that shark attack while kayak fishing, that I landed a Striper, and was about to grab it with my hand, being a few inches away. A huge splash and a seal grabbed my Striper and scared the hell out of me. I still think of that seal and what he could of done to me with a bigger grab higher up the line. He managed to grab the fish and tear it free of the line. So you are right about the dangerous part, lots of chances out there. Great video as usual.
Ответитьjeez, you could have pulled up about 25 yrds before you let the stripper go, instead of feeding the mako, uhhhh
ОтветитьSo, I’m not from Maine & don’t the laws there, but why did you let them all go??? Also, you should be careful out there by yourself!
ОтветитьFun!!❤
ОтветитьIm going to grab a bigger pole, never does lol. Then reaches into net to get the fish over the side of boat after just seeing a Mako?!
Darwin 🏆😆
I don't usually enjoy watching fishing vids, but for some reason, watching this made me feel giddy and excited.. lol.. I honestly enjoyed every minute and now I'm subscribed 😂😂😁😁😄😄🤗🤗🤷♀️🤷♀️
ОтветитьWhat kind of reel are you using.
ОтветитьWhen I was in the Army I was posted at Fort Story, VA. I was out fishing fishing in the Bay by the bridge i caught a small Sand Shark. That was pretty cool for me cause the biggest fish I had seen was a sunny (I'm from Minnesota. 😊
ОтветитьDo you ever catch and take home to eat?😊
ОтветитьI need a boat that fits 4 people very comfortably and at least have one more person with me!
ОтветитьBe careful dumping the fish to the shark.. it don’t take much for them to learn that the big weird shaped thing brings food.
ОтветитьThat dorsel fin gave it away as a Beagle Mako is more pointed. Either way a big shark 🦈
ОтветитьWhy aren't you wearing a lifejacket? There is no landsighting, not behind you and no reflection of land in your shades? Oh, there I saw it - very far away.......!
ОтветитьI’m new to the channel, but how long does it take you to reel in these fish??? Is it real time (no pun intended), or edited time?

ОтветитьWhy catch and release?!
ОтветитьI got caught watching this video and I couldn’t stop watching it till it ended .. I felt like I was out there fishing with you but in the safety of my home and enjoying you do what you really good ..fishing in the waters
ОтветитьHey, the Cape has great whites right near shore. I used to surf fish the Cape years ago wading out as far as I can. It was awesome. But once the seals came down, then the sharks, it was time to let go and have good memories of days gone by. I think I'll just stick with fishing from a boat, and if ever I catch myself saying, "You're gonna need a bigger boat," I'm done.
ОтветитьHis stripes were broken I do honestly bellieve he hooked a Hybrid (Striper/Largemouth) they get huge compared to the largemouth Bass that swim around the St Jhons river. We do get the Hybrids as well as the striped Bass we call em white Bass. We also ocaisonlly bump into Peacock Bass. Google that one if youve never caught one.
ОтветитьWow beautiful fish 👌🫡💖✌️🙏👽
ОтветитьIn 2004 we were surf casting on the Atlantic side of Hatteras, NC (Avon) and I caught a 7½' shortfin mako. It took me almost 3 hours to land it and it was amazing! My ex-husband kept asking if I i wanted help as I didnt have a harness or a chair, just the pvc pipe we had to set the rods in, but I managed to land it. I was literally dead the next say, with jelly for arns for like 3 days but I will always remember that fish!!!
It's scary as Hell to think about trying to land one out that far, be safe good fishing ❤!
Shark attack ? 🤔 Where ?
