I'm not an expert but, wouldn't the nukes exploding in the atmosphere release nuclear particles in the air ( that would be carried by winds across the globe) kill the majority of humanity? What would he rule then, an inhabitable planet?

What the hell is going on ?

I like how Apocalypse was able to control so many men in the world with little to no experience through Charles's mind. OFC, he didn't feel the agony Charles felt when he heard all those voices in his head because Charles himself had to implement that suffering onto him. This shows how powerful and easy it is for Apocalypse to control other mutant powers.

The more I think about it, the more I see how Thanos and Apocalypse's views, although vastly different, weren't actually that bad. Humans, overpopulated and uncontrolled, suck.

Everyone talking about Apocalypse lines but when professor X said destroy everything. Said "Reek Havok" I got chills

Apocalypse represents a ancient evil that ultimately seeks to connect to our consciousness like God. Him dismantling super powers is good and bad, he wants it too be one power and him being the great architect of it. Him controlling all the men shooting the nuclear weapons up was a human depiction of a worldwide hive mind.

I had to come back to this scene as I believe Apocalypse was doing the world a favor.

When Apocalypse looks at the camera and talks to Charles through Cerebro, it gives me chills every time. X-Men Apocalypse is so underrated. It should not be compared to Days of Future Past. Thats a high bar for any movie.

ICBMs are sub-orbital: not powerful enough to reach orbit or getting lost in deep space. They will fall back to Earth due to mere gravity. And if they are armed, once they reach the proper, pre-programmed altitude...BOOM!

Countries with nuclear weapons still keep a stockpile of nuclear bombs just in case of situations such as this so that countries will have a fallback plan in the event their nukes are wiped out or disabled. Lets suspend our disbelief and suppose this to actually happen if it did the world would likely be dragged into another arms race that countries would capitalize on, or now that no one has nukes anymore countries would begin going to war now that deterrence isnt on the table anymore, so apocolypse probabaly just doomed the entire human and mutant race by doing this along with inadvertently destroying all life on earth nuclear peace hangs in a very delicated balance

I know how everyone loves the “you can never strike god” line, but the buildup to Charles telling Alex to destroy cerebro and the music swells right up to the point he says “reek havoc” 😭
