Wow! These two are total id••ts.

We purchased these filters on your recommendation for our Berkey system. We flushed them over and over and over for days and our great tasting Idaho Mtn well water tasted terrible. After several calls to the company and more flushing they agreed to take them back. They would not pay return shipping and it took several heated phone calls to get a refund. If a problem exists with a product it shouldn't take months to get a refund. Switched back to Berkey filters and our water tastes great again.

NOT NSF certification for actual contaminate removal. You should really be clear on that. PRO ONE NOT NSF for contamination.

Some of the info was wrong. Berkey claims it filters 3,000 gallons per filter, not 6,000. You also claim ProOne filters out out over 200 contaminants. They do not have NSF certification for this. They only have NSF 42 which is for non-health related and aesthetic elements which is the most basic level. Ragging on Berkey for not having certain NSF certifications is stupid. None of the major filters by competitors have advanced NSF certification either. That is a complaint on many other filters which they say is misleading.

she is annoyingly putting down berkey. sorry you had that experience, I've been using them for 10 years and never had one issue with filtration. now due to them closing doors, i'm being forced to look elsewhere for filters that fit my system. thank you for this video. i will do my own research from here though...

Thank you so much for this idea. I was having all sorts of bad taste issues with the Berkey filters, so I'm hoping this will resolve it! I've seen a couple of independent tests done on the Berkey filters showing elevated levels of aluminum so I'm wondering if my taste was picking up on that. But then others' had completely different results, so I'm not sure who to trust. Trying these filters out now - fingers crossed!

I like that the Berkey uses the silver in it's filtering which is antibacterial, antifungal and antiviral and was used century ago with silver nickels in milk to make the milk last longer and kill germ. You did not mention this with the Pro One. No matter what the care involved it is more healthy and as a nurse that means a lot to me. Will the pro filter out nanoparticles? Will is save the nutritional minerals? One commented below to prime the black filters by installing them upside down in the lower part and fill the top part to gravity prime then clean out and reinstall in the top cannister as it worked well ! That seems easy if the faucet priming is difficult. Does the Pro One filter all the arsenic types like Berkey PS-2 fluoride/Arsenic filter?

I use the taste test which picks Berkey.

I put an order in almost 10 days ago. I have not been sent a tracking number so I called numerous times at all different times and cannot seem to get anybody to answer their phone. I guess this company is not legit. 🤬🤬

I am dubious how a ceramic filter could be better than a carbon filter. I think this boils down to sponsorship.

I might buy some for my Berkey. The only thing I don't like about Pro One is that the NSF test results are for materials only. That means that these filters were not tested for the water that's filtered from them. The NSF certification is the materials its made from and what they could do.( It says so on the NSF certification tag) I have been using ceramic dome filters of many different brands for over 10 years now. These outer shell ceramic filters all range from.02 to .05 micron. You can filter fluoride at .02 micron. So the NSF certification for Fluoride removal is only based on the material at .02 micron. I'm going to call Customer service and ask if the ceramic dome filters range from .02 to .05 micron. I have never found a ceramic dome filter with consistence .02 micron. So if this is the case. I have to assume all of the other claims in the NSF test results are misleading too. I still think it might be one of the better ones I have found. I don't like the Berkey filters after only using them for 6 months now.

On the website it doesn't say if these filters are for rainwater,spring water or creek water or well water that is not treated. Everything leans towards tap water. Most people want a filter because their not on government water. I mean city water. What is the life of the filter.

I'm gonna give BUILDING my own out of Food Grade buckets a spin , I'm old and alone so I may just start out with
one filter and "STORE" a lot as I make it . The time required is impressive as I'm used to "distilling" my water
but I've worn out several of those and THEY TAKE HOURS and electricity !!! AND the last one I bought did not
work , first shot outta the box !!! I'm not sure you answered this but do these filters remove Chlorine and
Fluorides ? Thank You . OH ! You might consider trying to WEEN her OFF the CAFFEINE !!!

I found a Big Berkey with the filters at the local Goodwill for $15. The only thing missing was the black rubber non slip ring on the bottom. I emailed Berkey if they sold replacements, and they do - for $65.

I have an Alexapure pro water filter and I kept overfilling it which made quite a mess. I solved that problem by getting a water level sight sight glass off of Amazon for about $20 . Now I know exactly how much water is in the bottom tank.

Hi, I have the Go Berkey system and haven’t been using it as much when I travel, mostly because of fluoride in the water where I have traveled to (it’s thankfully illegal in Nevada!) and partly because of the priming. If the 5” will fit the little container, I’ll be able to take this traveling again! I’m going to check it out. Thank you!

Just found out that Berkey filters cannot be used with soft water!

Please be careful with those 3 digit agencies....berkey removes fluoride and those agency ones up to you if you want to trust...kind a like the jab..

Richie from Boston has owned a Big Berkey for years. All you have to do once the black filters start getting clogged, is to use an air compressor or canned air to blow them out. Which means you can use them indefinitely.

Thanks guys! I'm glad I watched this as needed to replace my berkey filters and now I'll be buying something else! I agree they are unreliable . Unfortunately it doesn't seem you can get PRo one products in the UK easily, but I can see a couple of similar ceramic filters, (also NSF tested!) available from British companies that I think I'll try..

Enjoyed watching your video. Our city water is terrible, so we buy our water from a Primo water dispenser at Walmart and fill-up several 3-gallon jugs. Primo uses a multi-layer filter process, which one part is reverse osmosis. I've researched reverse osmosis, and it isn't healthy to drink the water. Most of the minerals are removed and it is "dead" water. Our bodies need minerals from the water. After watching your video, your information and tips convinced me to purchase the ProOne 3-gallon water system. I just received it today. I am looking forward to drinking clean, great tasting water directly from the faucet instead of having to load up the empty water jugs in the car and make a trip to the store. Now I will be able to fill-up the water jugs at home. So glad I ran across your video.

Berkey filters filter out VIRUSES and they are easy to clean and last over 10 years and the dirty the filter the better it works. Easy power wash the berky filters

Yeah, I ordered a new countertop RO machine with a remineralizing carbon filter. Berkey black filters are all crap now, all fakes and they are banned everywhere because they don't want to get NSF certified.

Plus apparently one didn’t prime right so now after the red dye test and with no flow from that filter, I’m going to have to take it apart and redo. Fun. 😂😢
