The book of eli and the road are my favorite

All of these scenarios and landscapes are so dreadfully bleak, I've decided I don't want to survive any nuclear/cataclasmic event or post apocalyptic world; take me out in the first wave, first blast, whatever, as "surviving" in any of these scenarios would be, frankly, too bloody hard. I'd rather be dead.

They're turned a wasteland into a futuristic city.

Tank Girl was not a good movie, but it took place in a world where water is in short supply.

I thought maze runner was a good one from the Scorch Trials. Even though it wasn't in this list, I think the Maze Runner: Scorch Trials is the best!

"The Stand" (1990ish) will always be #1 on my list. Gary Sinise, Jamie Sheridan, Miguel Ferrer, etc were all great in it. Stephen King is a master at storytelling .

for it's time/decade, mad max was a brilliant film. hell, it still is.

The Earth shown in Deep Space Nine's episode "Past Tense" is very likely to happen soon. Sliders also showed a similar dystopia of the rich divided from the poor but did so around a Romeo and Juliet theme. Even the Earth of the Expanse shows this dystopia.

The Road by far rises above all the others. I read the book, which was beautifully hopeless, never tells what caused the apocalypse. The movie brings this dark madness to life. The papa and his son have such a heartbreaking closeness and it's the only reason they find the will to survive. It's only the movie that could actually happen.

9 was and still I'd the best film i watched when just browsing TV one new years with my dad.
If you haven't watched it it's defently worth a watch.
