DON’T Edit Insta360 Videos Until You Watch This

Hello, I have a big problem. No matter what I do, whatever export setting I set, I always get a green video with only sound. HELP!

The phone app now has 4k and high bitrate options. So basically, with the stories feature oy available on phones, it's the best way to edit untill they have them in the desktop application.

Does the memory type effect the footage in insta360 x2 ?

Thank you very much for such an informative video. Could you help me, please?. Let’s say I recorded on my X3( don’t own it yet) 250 gb sd and I didn’t edit it. Then I save it in my laptop and then onto the iCloud. And after, I erase the sd card.
The videos are in the iCloud( I erase the videos from the lap top for space reasons). After, when I decide to edit it, I bring it back from the iCloud to the computer to edit it.
People say I can’t do that and I need to edit it before I send to the iCloud
I go 40 days on the rd in one go every summer. I feel very tired to start editing at night. Could you help me with your advice, please?.

Hi Ben, what laptop is best for editing videos? Is Mac Air good enough? I can not edit my videos on my android phone and ipad anymore due to memory issues so i am planning to get a laptop instead of desktop as well. Thanks

But now you can export flat 4k and 125Mbit, works great on my S21u and tested on a shot of 2019 - that looks so crisp now, amazing - never had this quality before

If i edit videos using my phone will consume internet data? or the transfer between camera and phone will use the wifi connection between them provided by insta360?

Why not comparing 4k mobile against 4k desktop? I can export 4k video using the mobile app... seems an unfair comparision hd vs 4k...

I need a good setup for motorcycle, my gear will be an Action 3 in the helmet, an Insta360 x3 in the handlebar and a drone. To save weight I will not bring a notebook but a good smartphone to edit videos, this problem with quality with the insta360 was a bummer now.
The Smartphone I chose has 16 GB and 1M Antutu benchmark but only 256 GB internal memory and no micro SD slot.

Hello do you advise against using the linear function on the phone app? This causes the linear zoom to lose a lot of quality. Do you have a solution ?

The desktop app does not have features of the iPhone app. This is miserably ridiculous. When finish a trip after recording a lot, you want to transfert all files to your desktop and edit later. There's no excuse for those features, like the split-screen not to be on desktop.

Thank you for your video. I just have a question.. I remember I could reframe the video within the app (using the viewfinder option) and save it to be opened with a PC in desktop version and use the desktop only for higher resolution exporting. Unfortunately I am no more able to do that. The reframed version is not same aspect in the desktop version. It shows a mess. Any help? Really thank you for your help

How come my edited 360 videos won't airdrop to my iPhone? Any tips would be greatly appreciated. Trying to edit on the computer and transfer file to my phone to upload on social media... the video plays on the computer but won't even download on to my phone 🤔

Does the export quality limitation also applies to the app on the iPad? I have an iPad Pro with M1 CPU, which is quite powerful.

You didn’t really go over export settings through desktop besides a short clip of you bumping the bitrate to 200. Are you planning on making a more detailed video on that or do you always render at 4k 200mbs. Another thing, what would you recommend to use for export settings if uploading to tiktok or instagram while maintaining great quality?

Just arrived yesterday and it's crashing in the phone app when I click on any video to edit. It says swipe to change perspective and crashes. I'm at a loss because I can't find any help for this situation. Thankfully I own a capable laptop and I'm still in business over there. But I want to utilize the phone version as well.

The desktop is pretty basic in terms of features. For example, I like the jump cut feature of the mobile app, but you can only trim on the desktop app.

Hi Ben great video - finding all your Insta360 content very helpful! Am I right that Studio does not support some things that the mobile app does support? Maybe it's my inexperience (vast) but I can't find in Studio: story production and multi view. Are these supported?

I have found that editing over the phone results in a rather poor quality file. While editing with a PC, there are not enough stories like on a phone. Quite inconvenient

When exporting or editing with the mobile app, edit the “raw” footage as it provides more export options, resolution, FPS and bitrate with effects.

Seriothr shotlab stories editing ruins the quality.
