This should have been the opening cinematic for the game, not that I don't like the actual one but this one sets the vibe much better imo.

I love that the first time I saw this I didn’t have a clue what any of it meant but now I can pause it every 5 seconds and explain for 30 minutes what’s happening in each shot.

The world would have been better off without Malenia existing. She nuked a whole continent cause she's a sore loser

After 400 hours of gameplay, out of which I invested 350 into the first playthrough of the game, I am feeling bad because of how little I feel I grasped the story.

People need to look back at this, and then Rannis ending. I don't think she's evil guys. I think shes taking the Elden Ring far away into the black night sky. Far away enough to where it could be controlled and not touched by mankind, rought with problems and trifles. Uncorrupted. She wants you to become Elden Lord, because you're the only one who can mend the rune, Marry her to conjoin houses, and together make the lands between unshattered, and mended. Life and death can proceed as normal, without wars of gods, and curses of evil. As it should be. The world would become like earth, nothing magical or special, but peaceful at last.

This games ending sucked , and what's up with doubles of the same bosses seems rushed open world was beautiful but this game could have been much better a clearer story line and a good ending that lasted longer then 20 seconds what happened to when games gave a good movie ending

Coming back here in December 2023 with over 1000 hrs in the game, I can't help but be absolutely awed by these characters. Marika, Morgott, Malenia, Radahn, Ranni. Each is so unbelievably captivating and epic. Their stories, their visuals, their music, everything about them is just out of this world.
I realise, I'm heavily biased, as ER has become my favourite game ever, but no game comes close to this roster of characters in terms of their overall effect and deepness. Not Bloodborne, not Witcher, not Last of Us, not Automata, not even Dark Souls.
Demigods. Children of Queen Marika the Eternal. Hooooly ...

Lol radahn fought malenia while still riding his horse (and somehow protected it during their fight) god what a legend

I would like to think that if not for the Scarlet Rot, Radahn would've won against Malenia. But I do love how they are both the mightiest in their own right, I do also think that they were evenly matched as well

Man everyone was talking about how radan was a villian and simping for melania then after the game released how wrong everyone was.

Man i wish there was a series of all the events before the shattering snd during.

I personally think that Radahn could have won had he not allowed Malenia to re-attach her prosthetic.
But I also still view it as a draw. Malenia fought Radahn while rotting from the inside out, with. Three prosthetic limbs and was presumably blind.
Radahn was powerful, yes. But Malenia still managed to fight him with three prosthetics, no eyes, and while afflicted with the same rot that decimated Caelid and incapacitated Radahn.
Radahn was stronger and had more magic at his disposal. Malenia should not have been able to walk away at all, but she did.
I think it’s a testament to how strong and powerful both of them are. Radahn, even while incapacitated, still held back the stars. Malenia, even with three prosthetics and no eyes and while rotting from the inside, still stood her ground against Radahn.
