hi which rf to ef canon adapter are you using can you suggest please thanks
ОтветитьI can hear the relief in your voice XD
ОтветитьWhat lens you use for your work...?
ОтветитьThanks Wes for sharing your journey with us! I've been pushing limits with the 5D Mark II for a few years now and tinkering with video on the Sony A7S II only recently... and boy, I've been conflicted on which path to choose.
I want to pursue both portrait photography and filmmaking, while doing some event videos on the side for church, and it's been a hard decision on which camera to get since I'm technically still a hobbyist.
But I'm leaning towards the Canon R6 II as a single hybrid camera. Although, I'm not sure if the R6 II matches or outperforms a Sony A7S III, A7 IV, or FX3 in low light and autofocus speeds...
Hopefully you have more insights on this. 😊
I do a lot of video i was thinking of grabbing the R8 it has almost the same specs as the R6ii should i save the $1K or pay the extra 1k and get the r6ii
ОтветитьI would be as excited as you are. I ordered my Canon r6 mk2 and I am sure I will love it as much as you do. Lol awesome video. Thx for sharing.
Ответитьdude ive been using the canon t5i for 10+ years, I'm getting my r6 mark ii this weekend i cant wait,
ОтветитьI'm so glad you demonstrated the AF with an EF lens, thanks for that. I've got so much invested in EF glass. Not exactly relishing the changeover process.
ОтветитьFor video only is the Canon R6 Mark II is better than Panasonic GH6?
ОтветитьHow does auto eye detect with coupes just focus it on the bride ?
ОтветитьHey Wes, what's your instagram handle? I would like to connect with you on instagram.
ОтветитьCongratulations solid move.
ОтветитьGood video, I like the grading for this video, is that standard canon Clog3 lit or your custom grade?
ОтветитьThanks for sharing. Will be picking up mine tomorrow 😄😎
ОтветитьHaving used mostly APS-c bodies, 50D-90D and now the R7, I've been looking at the R6 II for my 1st FF body upgrade. Only done a couple weddings in the last 20 yrs but did get to photograph my sons wedding last summer with the R7 and it was fantastic. Guess my main concern is having had 30+ MP on my last 2 bodies going down to 24.2 (same as my previous 80D) if I'm going to be happy with the images it produces. I do a lot of storm and lightning photography and most recently wildlife bug has hit me. I'm pretty happy with the R7 and what it can do, not much about it that bothers me other than the buffer, but that is manageable. Glad to see the upgrade has made your workflow much better. Autofocus was main reason I upgraded and glad I did.
Ответитьhi! do you have instagram? id love to follow you on there your work is amazing
ОтветитьGood decision Wes to switch from Sony to Canon R6 II !
ОтветитьEver considered c70 for videography? You might need it.
ОтветитьI don't have to invest in batteries, because I'm using all three batteries from my old DSLR camera, plus with the $99 Canon adapter, my EF lenses work great. I'm saving up for a better microphone. Good video.
ОтветитьI’m torn between this camera and the R5! Upgrading from a EOS-R and a hybrid user.
ОтветитьThanks for doing this video. It was the deciding factor in purchasing the Canon R6 MKii.
ОтветитьLooking at the sky and especially the tree I’d really be disappointed with the camera hadn’t I known it ain’t no biggie even for a 10D if you expose right.
ОтветитьAs a current R and R6 user I do not see the r6 mark 2 as a Video dynamic range upgrade, it seems similar, I've never had any over heating issues. Now the R7 seems to offer a half of stop of dynamic range over the R6 (And r5), meaning under good lighting Senario the R7 video may be your best A cam. Enjoy :)
ОтветитьHello and thank you for this video! I too have switched to a fully Canon system and am very satisfied. I currently have an r6 as my main camera but plan to get an r6II in the spring for the new wedding season. One question: do you use any particular presets for your photos? The post production is really beautiful. Thanks!
Ответитьwhat lens did u use for the video?
ОтветитьWhat lens do you have?
ОтветитьWould you choose the Sony fx3 or the r6 mark ii for documentary/vlog content? For some reason, I enjoy using canon cameras more than Sony. Great Content
ОтветитьTBH any new camera from any brand would have been a huge improvement to your current setup ! Coming from a Fuji XT2, I know what manual focusing means…. 😊
ОтветитьI feel seen after having upgraded from 11 point focus DSLR.
ОтветитьJust subscribed. I like your honest and sincere approach to your craft and the way you present your "case" in this video. I can only suggest that you get some RF lenses as soon as possible. You will be as surprised as I was to find that RF lenses are so much lighter than, and as sharp as, EF lenses in comparative focal lengths. Plus, RF lenses is the spear tip of Canon's cutting edge lens technology and these benefit from newer lens-making processes. BTW, I also just "upgraded" from the R6 to the Mark II and the innovations from old to newer models are astounding (Like three back button AF and Auto Eye AF, among others). :)
ОтветитьGreat review Wes! Do you think the R5C has a much better picture in 4k 60p?
ОтветитьThanks for the video. Congrats on your new camera. I’m having heart palpitations about whether to pull the trigger and get one
ОтветитьTwo years ago, I felt exactly the way you do today
R6 is Amazing Amazing camera (1dx mk3 in mirrorless Body )
There is no doubt that R6 Mark 2 is even better
That the old glasses work almost flawlessly
It is the sweetest point of Canon cameras
Nice bro I have the mark 1 been wanting to get this as a second body. NEXT YEAR FOR SURE
ОтветитьOne advantage of the Canon RF system is that adapted lenses work just as well as native lenses (and better than they ever did on DSLRs). There are no real downsides to using adapted lenses, unlike with Sony or Nikon. I have the Sigma Art 50mm and it's 99% as sharp as the RF50 1.2 and the Sigma is smaller (even with the adapter), and focuses way faster than the native RF 50's. It's also 1/3 of the price.
By the way, if you are using electronic/silent shutter you will get more noise (about 1 stop more) than you will with the default elec/mech or mechanical shutter. This is normal for mirrorless. So if you are wanting the best quality for your wedding pics and don't need silent shutter, use the default. Good luck. I love the R6 II.
I was also a Canon photo and Sony video shooter before the R3 and R5 C.
I have mostly EF lenses so dropping Sony was a no brainer
Pretendo comprar a minha em breve. Parabéns pelo vídeo
ОтветитьGreat Video. I am still not sure, if I should go for the Sony A7 IV or the Canon R6 MK2. Why didn't you go with Sony?
ОтветитьNice one Wes. 👍🏽
ОтветитьCongratulations on your R6 Mk2. I'm also a wedding photographer (and Canon shooter) who just started video about 2 years ago.
Huge improvement with the newer cameras.
I knew it's only a matter of time up until Canon figure things out and the R6 mark ii is a testament of that! I'm a hybrid wedding filmmaker myself and the original r6 was plenty enough for my process but the R6 mark ii is a gift to all of us :) I feel your joy brother ! P.S I still have mine inside the box planning to open it on Xmas eve!! LOL.
ОтветитьI'm with you bro ! Just started doing portraits and my first wedding back in September . I just upgraded from a T7i DSLR to the R7 and a R6 Mark ii with the 15x35 2.8 and the 28x70 2.0 ! Been saving and selling for a while to pull that off ! Thanks for the video sir !
ОтветитьHuge upgrade. LOVEIT
ОтветитьWelcome to Canon!
ОтветитьCongrats!!! Image looks solid👌🏾
ОтветитьHi ! Your photos are amazing.
Do you have Instagram or something ?
Congratulations, have fun with the new camera!
