It is really hard to watch these in 240p quality! Why weren't they at least 360p? 240p is the video quality of computers in the '90s!! This should have been uploaded in 480p. What source did you use? These can't be from DVDs. I'm glad someone uploaded them. It's just really difficult to watch something with such low resolution.

Joan Blondell was far too talented to be wasted as a second-banana in Lucy schtick like this. Anyone who doubts me can watch her performance in "Will Success Spoil Rock Hunter?". Lucy had a bug up her *ss because Vivian Vance left. Sometimes you don't realize how important someone is until after they're gone. Just ask Andy Griffith after Don Knotts left the A.G. Show, lol. Lucy never found another "Vivian". From this point on, I think each episode had a different guest star to be Lucy's fan-bearer. Trying to make this storyline funny must've been like trying to polish a turd, as far as Blondell was concerned.

Apparently Lucy was a real be-ach towards Joan and Blondell wouldn't tolerate Ball's rudeness, so they only did 2 eps together

The loss of Joan Blondell from The Lucy Show is one of the tragic things to have happened in show business. When Lucille Ball decided she did not like someone she was brazenly mean about it. After the second episode to feature Blondell finished filming Lucy went ballistic and trashed Joan in front of her studio audience. Joan heard Lucy's tirade and gave her a deserved expletive. That was when Joan got her fill of Lucy and left the series.
