Recreational is open but not the commercial due to whale migrations still taking place.

Way too many people for me. Plenty of other good spots along the coast and highway 1 that are away from the crowd. To each’s own I guess.

Great video Jun! One thing to watch out for is the overhand toss (unless they've changed the rules at the pier). A warden spotted me with binoculars from the beach and came up to the pier to give me a warning to not do it again. Good luck to you this season!!

I used to crab off the dock but then I figured out if I got a kayak and paddled out to drop traps and then hung out on the beach it was a lot less crowded and more productive. Now I have a boat and its even nicer not to have to jokey for space.

However I will say when crabbing off a dock it was nice to chat with other crabbers and hang out..
