Okay so mine just arrived from Tsjai-na, and right out of the box I must ask...What's with the stupendously small d-pad and buttons? I always press several face buttons simultaneously. Something tells me this will not me my definitive RGH. But hey, it was only 50 € 🤷‍♂️

Wow activating the same "hack" copying it from base sd card of Trimui onto mt R36S I manage God of War to run at 2X actually. And it's playable. I do some research and those files are .ini write in assembly by a guy, Kabuto_Kun. He posted on psspp forum those files (i found it for that game, but exist for some other, technically all). It forces to show the internal FPS value instead of the ingame. It's a bit complicated to explain, if u Google it maybe u can find out how. The Trimui guys then copy paste. So that's it, I'm very happy to be able to run those kinda games on RK3326 platform too. Good for us!

Edit: game will continue to show like 11/15 FPS but actually there are 30, fixed. With the 60 FPS hack audio lag onto R36S. Same with unlimited FPS hack. So the 30FPS is the way to go! From option frame skip is set to 2, but also works good with no FS at all. Resolution 2X. Force Max FPS can be set to Auto since the real FPS will be controlled by the . ini hack. Maybe when there are too much enemies frame rate will drop (at 2X) but hey, that's a 30 euro/dollar device so for me it's a big win. I doesn't know about those hacks first than your video, so thank you mate!

I love my Trimui Smart Pro. Anything that allows me to play GTA Vice City with my own massive 80's soundtrack is a winner for me

Nice intro... I used to dream I was naked and everyone was looking at me. It happens a lot when we are kids 😅
As for the device, I love mine. After updating to the latest firmware with the Tomato OS, you have a lot of options to make it better. I can now play almost 40 different emulators. Overall it's a good portable handheld!

Sometimes Back I purchased the rgb10max3 from powkiddy, with the launch coupon that at that time made it cheaper than this (80€ instead of roughly 90€ for the trimui smart pro). Then this went half price and I hated trimui and AliExpress deeply. For some days. Then I made my peace with it. But still I regret that purchase a bit, not that my device is bad, I actually like it a lot, but this looks a bit nicer. Pity for the missing l/r3 and the video out. Unsure about performances though, how do they compare?

ReWASD solves the L3 R3 issue because you can map start and select to be those inputs and just reassign actual start and select to be under a shift layer in the program. You have to pay for it but it makes playing games via moonlight almost seamless :)

But, console-wise, this TrimUI Smart Pro looks great but I'll wait for TrimUI Smart Pro 2 with proper L3 and R3 buttons. For me, it is a deal-breaker. Thank you for this wonderful video! ❤

Most of us reviewed it the first time when it was $100. The first units triggers were so stiff you could barely click them 😂

After RÂGÂ35xxxxxx.... 😁H came to me and I realized that the screen is too small (too small for my age of course🤣), I started looking for a device with a bigger screen and more horsepower under the hood. And I thought about RP3+, Powkiddy X28 and even this one, TrimUI Smart Pro. I was ready to take it and then stupidity hit me hard.🤪 I made a mistake and ordered an AYN Odin Pro (128GB + 256GB microSD + special AYN transport case) at an overpriced price (overpriced in our country😄). It cost me 300 euros but I ended up with a large screen of almost 6 inches. 🙃😉😊Yes, it has enough power under the hood but limited to Android 10 (and Windows 11 with some effort), this device will soon be outdated. Not that it isn't already. 😒But I will enjoy every moment of it. I will enjoy it to the end until the entropy does its job... Great video as usual.👍👍👍

Why didn't you install Tomato OS? in essence it is not a custom firmware. Is the modified original firmware. "Same difference" with added feature.

No matter how many times i try...i cannot enjoy this handheld. The buttons, sticks and firmware make for a disappointment every time i pick it up

Great video Mr. nerd!. I have the TSP as well and for port master, I had to install the custom update from the port master git hub, which requires a fresh sd card. Also, in case you didn’t know, for N64 forced 16:9 widescreen, instead
of the default full screen (stretch) works really well. It’s a widescreen hack and it works pretty great for most games. Many times, you can’t tell that the games are not native 16:9 games. Be You make this
change in the retroarch video settings.
