Sometimes we put ourselves in a victim position, when in fact we just need to understand that no one will be there. Nobody's coming, so let's do it.

Really enjoyed this. I'm very happy you found your biological father. I imagine it at least largely filled that void of closure. I feel like I've known for a while now that nobody is coming to rescue me, that I won't just wake up one day (now at 40 years old) with my life suddenly no longer sucking. I won't suddenly be "successful" in the western capitalist sense. I just don't know what exactly to do with that information.
