Very unpopular opinion but hear me out: Saul in Breaking bad looks like a happy guy with small problems in his world. He definitely doesn't look like someone who's been through what BCS portrayed. Jimmy in BCS looks depressed and miserable. I looked at these 2 characters and they're totally different. Let's not forget Bob Odenkirk is 46 in his BB appearance and in BCS he's nearly 60.
Anyway, my point is: In BCS he looks and does actions that are much more thought out and more evil- he looks like a genuinely toxic person to even trust. 2 totally different characters in my opinion

Honestly Saul was a huge breath of fresh air that kept the show from getting stale. He perfectly balanced out the more serious characters of Walt and Jesse. Bravo Vince and I mean that sincerely.

I’m sorry, I hate to be that guy, but how the hell was DJ Qualls casted for this role?? He’s gotta be the last guy I’d pick to be a detective and the least most intimidating guy to even be a police officer. I just couldn’t take him seriously, like he just reminds me of the guy he played in Road Trip. The casting in this show was great, but casting him for this role was bad. Not saying he’s a bad actor, just not the right guy for this character
