This is the ONLY video that actually tells you what to do clearly, concisely, and easy to follow detail. This is the kind of instruction you pay for in $200 ski lessons. Bravo!
ОтветитьThis is the best skiing tutorial I've seen. May I translate this video into Chinese and share it with skiing enthusiasts in China? It would allow more people to learn from it.🎉
ОтветитьYou are awesome Trigger Boy. I appreciate you and your channel. Is that you in the video? Thank you.
ОтветитьJust beautiful skiing ⛷️ every turn carved to perfection.👍👍👍from 🇦🇺🦘
ОтветитьI have always wondered about the nuances of carving on a steep slope. This video is an A to Z of it. Carving with skid turn (hybrid) approach seems like the perfect way to manage speed on the steeper slopes. 🙏🏼 Thank you.
ОтветитьHi Tom Excellent video , the best . I watched and follow your other videos.
ОтветитьI will try the drill with 2 poles on snow tomorrow to keep my upper body low
ОтветитьExcellent
ОтветитьI really like the background music you use most. That is my impression of trigger boy now.
ОтветитьGreat video. Got two problems:
1. My edge angle of the inner ski is lower than the outside.😊
2. The longer I carve the faster I get (after 3-5 turns). My speed increases from 37 to 45 mph even though the slope is flat and the arc is almost complete before I enter the next turn.
What I am doing wrong?
I did your drills but couldn‘t fix my two problems.
Just want to let you know.
Your videos helped me a lot improving my skiing but also helping other people improving by using your drills and I am not talking about this video but all your videos.
Want to say thank you for sharing!⛷
wow ! trully one of the best videos ive seen explaining the toppic, great job
Ответитьgreat video. Thank you. I love the music as well 👍Tomorrow I’ll be on the slopes with my slalom skis putting your advices in practice 🤩
ОтветитьVideo is the bomb!
ОтветитьI just love this video, it’s extremely helpful!
ОтветитьWell explained 👍
ОтветитьTom at the five minute mark you says to roll skis from up hill edges to downhill edges, Do you roll both edges at the same time? Second is there slight body movement to the new intended direction ? Third do you put the skis on the new edges by first ankle movement then knees ?
Thxs
Leaning to to direction of turn, that’s something I’ve never thought of, pr perhaps I did it naturally but now when I know that’s what I am supposed to do I will need to pay attention and hopefully progress. Thanks it was exactly what I was looking for!
ОтветитьGood videos though!
ОтветитьAwesome video! I am improving but although I try to keep my shins forward and weight on the balls of my feet, I find that my weight shifts to my heels especially when I come out of a turn. Do you have a video that address weight distribution?
ОтветитьThank you a lot!!! This is my carving video bible now!
Ответить👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍✌✌✌✌✌✌✌✌✌✌✌✌✌
ОтветитьI do all of this with my free heels so much fun stand in the middle of the ski!
ОтветитьWhat skis do you use and what height of skis would you advice to use?
ОтветитьI went skiing for the first time in years, so I downloaded your videos to watch while on the chair lift. It contributed to the best skiing of my life, thank you!
ОтветитьWonderful video. Thanks
Ответитьive watched a few videos on carving and this one helped the most so far. still cant make short turns work very well tho lol
ОтветитьAaaawSuuuum Video!!! Appreciate the clear instruction!! I will practice these tips...
ОтветитьExcellent video, every aspiring carver should watch this video and focus on each lesson. Great work and we appreciate your effort creating these videos. Thank you from Canada.
Ответить👍 Worth watching, trying, testing and learning. Bit suprised that shooted at Levi. Hope you enjoyed our Lappland ambiance. ✌️ Thank au 4 sharing yr knowledge for free. Much obliged!
ОтветитьPMTS
ОтветитьAnother great video, thanks master.
ОтветитьThanks for the very helpful video!
I have a question.
When I flex into transition I end up in the back position and almost fall back.
Нow to avoid it?
Excellent video - want to save it and watch it over and over again! Thank you very helpful in building from basic level to expert level with excellent drills to sharpen the skills.
ОтветитьOutstanding video. Mahalo from two Hawaii-based skiers!
ОтветитьThank you so much For this Video😀👍🏻
ОтветитьVery good! And simple!
ОтветитьGood stuff to work on this season. Really liked it. A change from some of the same old stuff.
Ответить🤔🙄
ОтветитьAwesome content! Thank you for the explanation. I want to ask a question if you don’t mind. I can ski excatly like that level 2 in the video. Carving smoothly on the slow line fast and sometimes on ice. What level of a skier does this make me? I can’t call myself an advanced skier but once i’m in a resort and asked what level i am in order to rent skis, people with fairly poor technique compared to mine claim they’re upper intermediates so i’m a bit confused…
Ответить"....and pray for the skis to start turning ..." Definitely rings true. I might work on that a bit more.
ОтветитьExcellent tutorial! Thanks for sharing!
ОтветитьDon’t go with a empty belly to ski , there is it a menu:
Morning:
One cup of integral cereal with milk
Two eggs
Three würst
Big cup of coffee and a chocolate bar
Some figs …..let’s go ! That menu is for six hours!
If you have a look at technique 3
It's a toilet seat position, but the legs still extend under him.
Top/Down dissociation at it's finest.
Fine explanations!
I just went to "ski" touring the for first time. First snow of the year, on my own almost alone on the fresh slope I could do anything I wanted. From barely controlling the stand, to failing at the wedge the second try, to somewhat carving turns on my third ride (after going up on rando) and realizing I was driving a speed car with no breaks, wedge doesn't work when going straight down! Im glad I used my climbing ⛑️ that slam was terrifying but I managed to test my limits... I am crazy to go again! This was superb, like there is so much drill to work on and improve it's thrilling and the realization of you going down with such control and confidence on a "moderate slope" when you are almost flying down! Amazing.
Ответитьthanks for the tips!
ОтветитьThanks! Really appreciate the clearly explained content!
ОтветитьThanks to your excellent video, I clearly recognize that my goal is "toilet seat position" like contemporary World Cup racers.
In drill#6, I understand that the squatted flexed position through transition is similar to the toilet seat position.
And for me, this slalom technique seems opposite to the technique of World Cup legends Ingemar Stenmark and Marc Girardelli around 1980 to early 1990s.
I want to say that their slaloming seemed to extend and stretch up at the transition.
Is my understanding correct?
One small request: I am looking forward to the Japanese translation of this video. It definitely is much more helpful for the Japanese skiers like me.
Anyway, thank you very much for the awesome instruction works.
Thank you for the great video and instructions! Which radius do you recommend for carving exercises in steep terrain?
