Hi, I am trying to apply for OCI on Sept 22-2023 , on photo and signature file upload page i don't see any upload box as in your video. I am able to all previous steps and also able to select photo file and signature file and crop both, the system also says crop is fine but there is no upload option box, not even close option box, its blank at bottom. Is it due to India's visa ban for Canadians ? Are OCI applications also banned similar to visa ? please let me know.

OCI checklist mentions requirement of ORIGINAL & Copy of Indian Passport and Canadian Passport.

Say yes,
Both the reference number and date when applied is in the OCI booklet. Some ICO have in the first Page bottom right left, some have the last page and its easy to find will have file no starting with USA that is your reference number and date is the date of issue on the 1st page of the OCI booklet and that page also has the place of issue.

For fresh adult oci application if we have the surrender certificate but we don't have the original canceled indian passport but only the photo copy of indian passport(doses'nt have cancellation stamp) can the application be accepted? If not, what else to use as indian origin proof ?

For OCI courier services, they charge an additional 30$(as of Aug 2023) for drop off of original documents in Toronto, though OCI has no original documents required(for the majority of us?). There is no way to uncheck that option when you use the combined 'Pick up and Drop off' option. But I think if you do 'Pick up' separately and then 'Drop off' separately, the separate drop off option does not add on the 'Original Drop off' fees and you may save money. I haven't tried this as I discovered this after :( but hope this helps.
