Do you think dogs would really like this car?
ОтветитьI bought new a 2004 Subaru Impreza TS, which I would equate to this new car. My 5 speed / 2.5 was an absolute legend, the same chassis as the WRX, but the poor man's spec. It lasted 15 years, doing the weekend cottage run, the city work commute, the canoe on the roof to Algonquin and some epic road-trips. Being an old school Subaru, I was able to slot in some RA Spec C seats from Japan, older spec JDM RA Wagon suspension and a nice set of inexpensive 17" wheels with good tyres. In winter, on 15" steelies with spiked Hakka's that could handle the worse of Quebec ice and snow, in summer 17s with Vredestein styling by Giugiaro that shed water and made this smooth. Yeah, I always wished I had a WRX ... but not really. I miss that car and the Subaru that built it, still in the WRC. This and most Subies are ok, but the CVT drone is a headache I do not wish for. Wish Subaru well in their pursuit to remain relevant. If all goes to plan, a 2nd gen BRZ will be my stash away in the garage vehicle, while my older 4Runner will brave all the rest.
ОтветитьDespite owning a Subaru for years, I would never buy one after seeing a commercial on Faux…
ОтветитьI'm curious to see your thoughts on the new impreza 2.5rs
ОтветитьHere we go. Another site gasslighting viewers about the lack of a manual because "we didn't buy them." Please stop using subaru's talking points. Manuals sell pretty quickly IF you can get them. Has this site actually driven a crosstrek 2.0 6mt? The 2.5 cvt is still slushy. God knows how the 2.0 is. My 2.0 6mt zips right along and is far quicker feeling them my wife's 2.5 cvt limited.
ОтветитьMark's video reviews never disappoint; in this case he was straight, he was honest and he was spot on about what Subaru offers to.buyers today. WRT to the "outer awkwardness, I have to say that while Subaru was often capable of "awkward looking", I can't help thinking that cooperating with Toyota may have pushed the company a bit further down that road. After all, what can be more awkward than the current version of the RAV 4, or the hideous waterfall grills on most current Lexus models (are we supposed to call these "Les-eye"?)
Kudos to Jack for the under-car review, too.
I’m looking at getting one right now. Seems like a great practical car for me, I’m a paraglider pilot who goes up to the mountains and flies every weekend, some dirt roads that my Camry wouldn’t possibly make I’ve had several friends go up in their cross trek’s no problem. I’ve driven them and they are very nice, definitely no race car but that’s not what you want this car for. For me, going to the mountains and camping and flying paraglider’s it’s really the perfect choice.
ОтветитьNot 1 buyer says " I want a CVT". That's on you, Subaru. I bought a 2020 because I wanted my kid to learn how to drive a stick. And No, I'm not getting a WRX for that.
ОтветитьSubaru is made with love, and the favorite vehicle for people who must have an empty bike or kayak track mounted on their vehicle. You can bet they are good people, too. They'll tell you on Twitter. And you're a bad person, too.
They tend to put a lot of really courageous bumper stickers on their vehicles that advertise their establishment political beliefs, reassuring anyone who doubts their moral supremacy with bold and edgy statements like "war is not the answer". So you can back off, this granola-crunching, marijuana-smoking, liberal-arts degree-having, gender-neutral, cat-stroking, accepting, tolerating, and irritating motorist is a staple in every shitty US college town, and they will rip your throat out if you make them even one second late to whole foods.
We knew it was coming, but boo on the loss of the manual. I have a 6 speed manual forester from 2018 and I'm holding onto that as long as long as possible. I know they weren't selling but I still love it and feel fortunate to have one.
Ответить❤😊😊❤😊❤😊❤😊❤😊❤😊❤😊❤😊😅
ОтветитьLies, the reason the discontinued the manual is so they could implement eyesight on every vehicle thereby raising their ntsb safety rating. Every manual they shipped sold in very short order. Also crosstrek production moved from Japan to Indiana. The Indians plant does not manufacture any vehicle with a manual transmission
ОтветитьTHANK YOU-for a "Good sense" review of a reasonably NICE and good quality vehicle.. I'd never seen one til today- Forester is nice- and OUTBACK is really nice- but WAY too muchf or the use I'll have for it..
He has a pretty dismissive "let's not waste much of my time on this" attitude.
ОтветитьSee drivingsportsTv
ОтветитьThis or a Mazda 3?
ОтветитьIs it reliable? I heard these H type of motors have had a lot of oil leaks due to the design.
ОтветитьThat transmission shifts like shit it sounds like
ОтветитьSubaru's may have just-okay MPGs, but what this platform has, that no other car in its class does, is a LARGE fuel tank at 16.1 gallons. That's larger than some midsize cars. A BMW 330i has a 15.6 for perspective. What that gives you is great range out of a tank of gas, like, 430 miles per tank. In the real world, that's one less thing to be bothered by, having to always fill your tiny tank, like in a Mazda3, which, btw, has very average fuel economy as well. I had an '09 MINI Cooper S, and I was ALWAYS white-knuckling it to the gas station because the fuel tank was so damned small.
Ответить6% of all 2022 Subaru Crosstreks sold came with a 6 speed manual tranmission.
6% of 155,142 = 9,308
That means.... more Crosstreks with the 6 speed were sold than all of the following cars.
Cadillac CT4 9,270

No mention about mpg , awkward! Maybe because is destroying its practicality? 35mpg on average is quite high for 2023 standards
ОтветитьHow does this Crosstrek have a 4.7 Qt Oil capacity when the Other FB25D engines have only 4.4 Qts?
ОтветитьI would love to see you guys review the new Chevy Trax 2RS, because I just bought one. And although I don't always agree with you guys I respect your opinions. On my budget AWD just doesn't seem possible these days, especially with lingering dealer markups. The Crosstrek and Imprezza were on my list.
ОтветитьMy 2015 sabaru forester was not dog friendly!!! Took seat out the back for more room. Now my dog car. Cant take dogs anywhere & lock door n leave running😢😢
ОтветитьLove the honest review. Just found your channel and became a subscriber. Looking forward to checking out your other videos.
Ответитьperfect for the 80yr old liberal
ОтветитьJust bought a 2024 Crosstrek Limited and I love it so far.
I am coming from a 2017 WRX, and still, I'm loving the Crosstrek.
Comparing car pricing these days ,this is a great deal, and of course you get one of the great engines in the market today ,simple but enduring and that’s priceless !
ОтветитьRealistically, you are looking at $31,000 and some change after taxes etc for this model. This appears to be a Premium model with the option 14 package which is an all weather package, heated front seats, heated wipers, power drivers seat, auto dimming mirrors, and a few other things. I just purchased mine at the end of last month and love it. You're not buying it for speed, you're buying it for reliability, comfort, and all of the things he talks about in this video. From my understand, all 2.0 models are built in Japan and shipped here, while the 2.5 models are produced in Indiana. The engines/drivetrain come from Japan, but everything else is done in Indiana. So, If you want a Japanese built car, get the 2.0 version, thats what I did.
ОтветитьNew to car shopping, really appreciate this video!
ОтветитьAverage speed is 25 to 30 miles an hour getting up to 32 miles per gallon this one is four years old
ОтветитьI asked my dog (1 bark for yes & 2 barks for no) ...' do u like the car?' ...and she barked once, so there 🤷
ОтветитьThis car is the best all rounder vehicle 👍
ОтветитьWhy do non-subaru fans watch Subaru videos 🤡
.....I don't watch Chevrolet or Chrysler videos 😄💩
This or a civic sport?
ОтветитьI own a 22 crosstrek sport with the 2.5L. I absolutely love it, but my only gripe is the paddle shifters. If you're going to do a "Manual mode" do what VW did with the 2008 GTI IMHO. Push the selector knob to the side and go up and down with it to change gears. The paddle shifters just get in the way.
ОтветитьMy mom has a recent Impreza and I was blown away by how not garbage it is for a low 20k new vehicle.
ОтветитьI'm of the opinion that the 2018-23 Crosstreks had nicer looking interior door panels and center console. And they also had physical buttons and knobs for all HVAC functions, which this 2024 lacks.
ОтветитьI'm flipping between this Mid Tier crosstrek trim and the base model outback since they're the same price.
ОтветитьI have a 2020 Impreza MT, got help your soul when that CVT goes out and it will go out. Be prepared to spend between 8K-10K to replace when it goes out.
ОтветитьAs a crosstrek owner myself, I think part of the appeal of a car like this is that it feels like a car while having the benefits of an SUV. And here in MN, the winter is so much more easy to deal with when you have this and some snow tires
Ответить🚫You do not pick up your phone to look at it- who's calling?🚫 Bluetooth dumbbell⚠️ Pair yer phone, handsfree, pay attention to driving. Epic fail 👎👎
ОтветитьI got this car. Best I’ve ever had ever. It’s really fun to drive and with such a smooth ride engine and Tran
ОтветитьLove my 2019 Crosstrek. Have to disagree about the gas mileage. My Crosstrek is great on gas.
ОтветитьNeed the 6spd to feel fun
ОтветитьI drive a first gen XV. The front seats look generic, but it is extraordinarily comfortable and I drive from San Francisco to LA and the back doesn't get tired. I swear the Subaru seats are better than the extra-cost sports seats on my Porsche Cayman.
ОтветитьNo turbos. No hybrid systems. Just plain ol' natural aspirated boring-ass reliability using an old but tried-and-true engine.
To hell with that touchscreen. But otherwise, it's a semi-stylish and functional package that looks better than most of the other toasters available. Great price as well.
Nice work, Subaru. A company that's at its best when being weird on its own terms.
If you DRIVE this car - the engine WILL blow...oil sloshing is a problem...the legacy engine is a grocery-getter special...BUT, the best bet for a fun USED vehicle value...get it a few years old...that CVT is crap...ALL CVTs are crap...
ОтветитьMy 2014 Crosstrek was doing great until I hit the 40,000 mile mark. Both front CV joints went out at once and heat shields rusted out. I am a very conservative driver and never go off rode. Replaced it with a Honda CRV and no problems so far.
