I love Cadbury, but if those Godawful Peeps didn't exist, the Cadbury Egg would be my least favorite Easter candy. They are tied for 2nd most hated along with black jelly beans for me

I don't think they should be taking sugar from places where it belongs like chocolate, rather places it doesn't belong like processed foods or yogurt. A yogurt has as much sugar as a piece of cake are you kidding me? Something like chocolate is supposed to be eaten in moderation the solution isn't to change it.

I’m an American who absolutely loved Cadbury creme eggs. I have wondered what happened to Cadbury because the eggs aren’t the same. 😢 I can’t stand the new ones why can’t they bring back the old eggs? They were so much better!

means it has more fat. fat is loaded with calories. less sugar means less carbs, to compensate for less sugar but still make a good mouth feel (think buttery) they add more fat.

When people get chocolate, they're not looking for "low sugar"- and if artificial sweeteners are used, it'll be the end of my ordering UK Cadbury, and I'll just go with a German or Swiss brand (not Nestlés). If it's not broke, don't try and fix it.... remember the "New Coke" ??? But then again, Galaxy tastes a lot better than the imported Dairy Milk I've had recently... but there are so many other options. Tony's is amazing, in so many flavors, and with a good social message as well. Holland is def in the running to replace chocolate bought by adult consumers who vote with their wallets when a company like Mondelez (formerly Kraft) buys out Cadbury. What they did to Milka and Nestlé's Crunch was disgusting. This American is so sorry that Mondelez has infiltrated such an iconic brand, and messed up the way employees are now treated- what's left of them.

The eggs are nothing like they were. Now smaller, thicker, less creamy, the distinct flavor is off, and last year had crystallized sugar chunks.

The more dramatic changes began when the US company took over.

No offence , but cadburys was powder here , as Queen Anne Chcolates were more popular , then the recipe changed - palm oíl was àdded in place of some of th cocoa butter . I went off it lon time ago , after i found out about "Single Origin Chocolate bars , which are all datk , with unique flavors .
There used to be a Cadbury factory in Dunedin, once upoñ a tome , which had tours going thru - it was shut down a few years ago .

Cadbury: "we will replace sugar with fibers" 🤦‍♂

I make my own bean-to-bar milk chocolate, with lots of milk and cocoa (and, of course, with just a reasonable amount of sugar).

Several years ago, Cadbury experimented with an Orange Creme Egg. I did so hope that it would be a permanent fixture at Easter, but I only saw it that one year. Think of the orange cream in Black Magic, but with dairy milk instead of dark chocolate. Mmmmm…

Maybe someone who knows Cadbury better than I (as an American, the only Cadbury I was used to were the creme eggs at Easter...so I know I missed out on a lot), can explain why it's called "Dairy Milk"? That seems sort of redundant to me. Milk chocolate is milk chocolate. Is it necessary to add that the milk comes from a dairy? Where else would milk come from?
