x4 vs x8 vs x16 slots any difference rtx 3060 ti

so.. if i have 3060 ti running on X8 not X16, it's no problem right ? i used i7 11700 + asrock b560m hdv ( latest bios update ) + m.2 sata 240gb on slot number 2 ( not gen4 )

is this PCIE 4.0 or 3.0 ?????

Thats crazy that even only the few 4x nearly is every time as good as 8x or 16x and when you see in ultra 4x are for me easely high enough for no problems. I would never belive this, thank you for this test.

Perfect test, but with extremely annoying music doing volume mute / play / mute / play. I checked my pc if there is audio problem.

Hi, what kind of pce e is in your motherboard 3.0 or 4.0. Normally it will be rtx 3060 together with pce e 3.0 8x, ssd takes away the pce e lines

This raises the question why are we "wasting" 8-12 lanes on the GPU when we only have access to 20-24 for CPU lanes?

Cool, if there's hardly any difference with a 3060ti 16x to 4x, I can guarantee you there will be no difference with 16x to 4x on a GTX1650. This is very useful information for a plex media server, where PCIe slots are at a premium.

How did you make an Nvidia GPU work at a PCIe 4.0 x4 lane? I had heard it was impossible.
