Bob, do you know of any emulation handhelds sized and shaped like the PSP or maybe PS Vita that run Android? I want to play AM2R then emulate Metroid: Fusion on a PSP or similar, but I'm stuck with the awful Razor Kishi on a phone with huge black bars on the sides.
ОтветитьIs bob a professional copywriter? His ads are hilarious.
ОтветитьJust waiting for back plate mod by cupojoe252 , that improves the cartridges guard and shoulder button
Ответитьanalogue is always out of stock.. years after release.. I wish someone at that company would finally step their game up! because if you still are not able to have the production in order after so many years.. something goes wrong.
ОтветитьIn case anyone was curious, the site is showing all colors sold out.
ОтветитьAny chance you'll go back to controller reviews?
ОтветитьThis is GLORIOUS!

ОтветитьAnytime you have metal buttons on a metal shell, get yourself some foam tape. 1mm thick or less should do it. I made a Gameboy Advance SP Unhinged and goddamn did it rattle. I rummaged through my parts bin and found some foam tape bits that come with DS lite replacement shells. I cut that up into little squares and various shapes and placed them all strategically. 4 tiny squares on the D-pad where it contacts the interior of the shell, 2 tiny bits on the sides of each face button and various bits in certain places on the interior of the shoulder buttons to stop those from hitting the shell. Checked for clearance issues before I put it all back together and boom - no more stupid rattle.
ОтветитьAs much as i love these metal shell replacements, it sucks i will never use one.
Not because of price but because I'm allergic to metal! Hold or touching metal for to long fucks my skin up royally and having a portable system like this to play would just hurt. That said I do like the base colored ones they have, i just wish they had the dark none transparent purple one like Nintendo use to make for the Gameboy Color since that was the one i had when i was little.
I just did a button swap on my pocket. Someone on etsy makes epoxy buttons and I got the black and orange to go with my orange pocket. Looks way better than the mono color scheme
ОтветитьJusus Christ on a Gameboy!
Ответитьhaving rounded edges would be enough for me. But the metal would stop the cracking issues LOL
ОтветитьAnalog = Speculators.
ОтветитьImagine not using Pocket Sync.
ОтветитьHow were you able to get PSOne running on the pocket? And is running smoothly or laggy?
Ответитьthis looked like such a cool mod but OOF on that button noise.
ОтветитьThese devices are getting way more expensive than they need to be. Kind hard as a consumer but I rarely buy these things but I do enjoy watching your channel! Great videos as always and your ads are hilarious 😂
Ответитьi can cnc that case for around 60$ with paint thats a high mark up na just saying
ОтветитьDamn.. it costs just as much for this shell that it does for the Pocket itself!
ОтветитьTWO HUNDRED GOD DAMNED DOLLARS! :P
ОтветитьI would do this mod if the shell shipped out for like $80 lol
ОтветитьI will wait until Nick from Boxy Pixel makes one. lol
ОтветитьThis channel is dedicated to handhelds!?!!?!!🤯 The Gameboy is my all time favorite system by far.
So much power...in the palm of your hands!!!
Are you coming to Dragon Con? Not a gaming con but still a con
ОтветитьI'm happy to see The Retro Future getting a mention. :)
Ответитьwulffden i dont really have a reason to play games on this thing. ah but yes. you can make it metal and play games on it now. wulff den: say no more
Ответитьthere are 8 rubber stickers and also 8 button contact points...
I think they might be provided for ppl who want squishy feedback, just a guess
Happened to stumble here by chance. What a great channel! I really enjoy your style of delivery. all the best!
ОтветитьBob. 🤣 Bob! You were particularly funny in this video. 😂
ОтветитьYour power and sound buttons were red? I noticed that you intentionally didn’t talk at all about them.
ОтветитьA little bit. And by a little bit, I mean a lotta bit 😂😂
ОтветитьI just realized that Bob and Charles (Penguinz0, Cr1TiKaL) are doppelgangers
ОтветитьDefinitely not worth it in my opinion. You'd basically be paying $400 for a device that can't even play many systems.
Ответить$200 for cold hands in the winter and hot sweaty hands in the summer? Yeah....no thanks. I'll take OG plastic for -$200
ОтветитьMan I just wish they were on Switch but god damn Nintendo has really gone down hill
ОтветитьTry emulating on a tesla
ОтветитьJust in case anybody was looking for a bit of help, Makho did a good tutorial on this about 6 months ago.
ОтветитьI'm sorry but for this cost the quality just isnt there. The rattle, the lack of instructions, the missing QOL stuff like included adhesive. Kind of annoying.
Ответитьpaid advertiser nice
ОтветитьAnnndddd they just announced an aluminum edition. 😂
ОтветитьAfter seeing Analogue pockets $500 FOR their aluminum hand held. This is not looking so bad.
ОтветитьThe official aluminium limited edition is coming out on 15 July 2024 at the ridiculous price of 499 USD plus tax, shipping and duty if you buy from overseas.
ОтветитьI thought $190 was expensive until, earlier today, Analogue just announced their new "Extremely Limited" (of course), aluminum Pockets... Only $500 each.. WTF?! I love the Pocket, but that's a hard no from me!
Ответитьyeah.. official aluminum one is now $499 doh!
ОтветитьWhere did you buy that aluminum shell? At Retro Cen?
ОтветитьLooks like a terrible black golden cod weapon skin… but at least doesnt cost 500 bucks
ОтветитьSoo expensive.
ОтветитьWho knew they would see this pocket and drop a metal version. I guess Bob did.
ОтветитьAluminum Analogue Pocket is super nice.. no justification for the absurdly high price though. Hence, why it’s “HIGHLY LIMITED QUANTITIES” haven’t sold out. 😑
