I loved that game omg the atmosphere
ОтветитьThis game is rediculously clunky and won’t show the post mission screen for some reason.
ОтветитьI coulda swore the music sounded kinda familiar, and whadyaknow, ya boy Marty O'Donnel did it.
ОтветитьThat scream roar from the great devoid sounds like it came from Dungeon Keeper when you use Sight of Evil. Both games came out the same year though so hard to say where it originated.
ОтветитьThere was a speed up button?
...
These games were so badass. Game preservation really needs to be taken seriously.
Ответитьdid the part where he talks about the myrkridian skull pile get edited out?
ОтветитьI remember how hard this game was, the zombies are actually ghouls that paralyze your units when they hit, your infrantry was a last resort defense most of the time when everything else failed, because they always suffered badly, and that was the weakest enemy.
ОтветитьI now know why i'm so f'ed up i was playing this at like 3-4 y.o 😂😂
ОтветитьI'm so sad i cant run it 😭
ОтветитьWhats nice about running Myth 1 on Myth 2's engine is it adds the veterancy feature.
Meaning if you have a big enough Johnson you can beat it on Legendary with 0 casualties aside from The Watcher
MOOV here MOOV there
ОтветитьI loved this game it would be great to see it rebooted. Maybe with tens or hundred of thousands of warriors like total war but with the bloody explosions, physics etc. i cared to keep everyone alive
Ответить"And you will never fight at or see the last city"
... God damn it, how the hell did it take 3 months for me to pick up on that? I'm not even sure if it was intentional, maybe the Bungie lore madness just runs that deep.
This game has been haunting the back of my mind for over a decade! I had finally given up on finding it and had contented myself to believing it was a figment of my imagination; a memory I had made up.
I played this as a kid (or tried too) and it terrified me for some unknown, existential reason. I think it was the "scary," "mature" atmosphere the game had, and the fact that when you lost units, they were perma-dead, and that made me really, really upset. Plus he bone-chilling sounds of combat!
I distinctly remember this came on a bundle disc for Mac that came with several other games including a bowling game and "You Don't Know Jack" I believe?
Someone please vindicate me and tell me I'm not the only one!
Oh yeah and if a few of the difficulty names, deceptively mediocre story turning amazing by the mid point, random placement of the number 7 and the mind bogglingly good piano-centric briefing music didn’t tell anyone…
This is a Bungie game.
They underutilized the hell out of Marty O’donnel here, but when they did… DAMN.
Also, I’m not sure how, but I feel like this game will end up connecting to Marathon somehow, and possibly, Halo.
I can hear a bunch of nerdy people laugh their asses off making this game. Make a relic that detains stuff, what should we call it? The Tain. Make a giant void that destroys anything, what should we call it? DeVoid!
ОтветитьThat campfire scene was mad
ОтветитьA lot of the voice acting in this game is pretty goofy, but the way Alric says "KILL HIM" sounds more like someone who wants another guy dead than most VAs I've heard.
ОтветитьMan, just only now noticed this sick thumbnail for both Myth's videos. Amazing job.
ОтветитьAre you using the black mirror OST as background music??? It has to be.
ОтветитьI swear to the gods if this leads back to Marathon
Ответитьi cannot believe when you were asked what is the most forgettable game you still remember, we both had the answer of Rage. i guess it wasnt that forgettable
ОтветитьBungie timeline (counting halo): The Myth games, Pathways into Darkness, HALO Reach-3(maybe the others if ya want), The MARATHON trilogy, and finally Destiny
ОтветитьI went, I got it, I devoted myself to a legendary first time playthrough, and now the music gives me shivers. I felt the apocalypse what a great game.
ОтветитьThey should combine this and Kenshi somehow. It would be dope.
ОтветитьMagic spells are called Dreams in the lore.
Later in the game when you got temporary control of of Alric, his spell casting abilities are "Dispersal Dream" etc.
So a Dream Duel is just a fancy named mage duel where they hammer each other with spells
cool game
ОтветитьCASUALTY
ОтветитьCheck out army men RTS, i olayed that game alot on the game cube
ОтветитьI would love to see a remake of this game 🥰
ОтветитьThis saga needs a remastered for the actual pc's.
Ответитьthe Devoid screams remind me of some of the sounds for the Undead buildings from Warcraft 3, mainly thinking of the Necropolis/Ziggurat sounds lol. Either way another great fantasy RTS for me to try and get working again
ОтветитьSuperb game 🙌🏻
ОтветитьThe thumbnail on this video goes unbelievably hard.
ОтветитьA lot of old RTS games don't have this much depth in their story. There's so much to go through on the wiki for it. I'm impressed.
Ответить"Work with the Nine to protect the Last clCity from the Dark"
Oh so Bungie made this
The vibe of this game gives major soulreaver
ОтветитьAm I in a fever dream or was that the siege of madrigal I just heard
Edit:I thought this was a long unused halo track and no idea it was just Marty during the myth days 🤷♂️
Can anyone tell me what meme scream sound mandalore uses in his videos? It caresses my ears.
ОтветитьWhy can't we have this game remastered for Nintendo Switch? I cannot find games with this vibe.. it is perfect. I loved 1 and 2, but the 3rd I think it lost the magic of the 2 ones.
