ALl I will say about Curry folks is do your research, fact check his claims yourself. Seems like a reasonable guy, we all grew up with him on MTV. BUT after the last few appearances I have tried to independently verify some of his stats and points and they are usually wildly exaggerated and untrue. China isnt even responsible for 2 percent of our grain. Canada supplies the vast majority of it where it is grown, along with argentina, ukraine and russia (which is why we have already been having some minor issues with supply of breads and grains. But even products like sara lee and bread items, they too are largely not supplied to us by China. The idea that China hording grain will cause a shortage here is asinine.

MAYO CLINIC:
Misinformation about canola oil may stem from the fact that the canola plant was developed through crossbreeding with the rapeseed plant. Rapeseed oil contains very high levels of erucic acid, a compound that in large amounts can be toxic to humans. Canola oil, however, contains very low levels of erucic acid.
Canola oil is also low in saturated fat and has a high proportion of monounsaturated fat, which makes it a healthy and safe choice when it comes to cooking oils.

a law was passed in the uk at the start of last year, saying food companies no longer have to state gmo ingredients.. at a time when alot of big companies are closing or struggling, makes you wonder how many will cut a real product back for a cheaper gmo product..

This is actually kinda an American issue where some of our large population centers are far from food production. I remember hearing about a Russian diplomat visiting America being shocked that the food he was eating in NYC was shipped such long distances from Chicago and that no food was produced at or near NYC.

When I woke up from my General Mills food pyramid programming from childhood, I realized how important it is to eat as clean as humanly possible which includes growing my own produce as well as having my own water well which I even put thru a Berkey filtration system. now thats high quality H2O!!!

I've been cooking and placing food orders with wholesalers for a long time. Pre-pandemic I would see 'backorder' every few months on some random rare product like fig jelly. For the past year I've been seeing 'backorder' on a weekly basis on really regular staple foods. Last summer we couldn't get single portioned peanut butter for about six weeks. A few weeks ago we couldn't get turnips one week - turnips! Large scallops are hard to find, veggie burgers went missing for a few weeks (didn't break my heart), condensed mushroom soup was b/o for over a month, and at one point I couldn't get regular button mushrooms for 2 weeks (I assume the mushroom soup people bought them all up trying to catch up). I don't think we're out of food yet, but the supply chain is certainly messed up.

Seed oils are terrible for you. They literally they have to go through a intense process before you can even consume them. The RBD process is refined, bleached and then deodorized. How appetizing does that sound. They also used to use these oils in vehicles and machinery before they were like "Hey, it works in machinery. Let's try it in Humans." It's literally poison.

Lard, Taloe, Butter, Avocado oil but above all, Extra virgin Olive oil is the way to go.

News flash, America's obscenity problem comes from a few things. #1 there is fluoride in everything. In the 60s they used fluoride as a medicine to combat hyperthyroidism, in other words fluoride slows down thyroid function. It is not just in the water, but in every store bought drink. #2 Wheat and oats and corn is the worst but, all vegetables are heavily laced with pesticides and herbicides, and that is why all GMOs are used because they are round-up ready, and the pesticides are endocrine disruptors, which means they interrupt the lifecycle of the insect, but pesticides do not discriminate, they kill everything, bees, humans, butterflies,... just some slower than others. Your thyroid is part of your endocrine system so it is taking a hit. Some years back, at 3 different jobs, I was over exposed to this shit. I am battling cancer now in the form of non hodgkin's lymphoma, which is a blood cancer like leukemia. This is only the tip of the information, but I have done my research. If your wheat is coming from the US it is best not to eat it because of all the health risk and especially for babies and growing children. The herbicide in round-up is glyphosate and it causes autism.

I'm going back in time Wine was defiantly important during the Middle Ages for Arabs, being drunk with food, and definitely used in the sacramental life of the Church. The people that lived in the Middle Ages, however, drank more than wine. They drank beer, stuff related to beer like mead (honey beer), ale, and also cider made from apples and perry made from pears. These differed in their fermentation processes, and also their ingredients. Beer and ales were interesting in that after the Crusades with more spices more avslible to the European population, they began to spice their beers and ales differently, making different varieties of both. The basic difference between these two though, is that beer is made of hops, and ale is made of grain. Beer was not consumed a lot in the Middle Ages, as it was considered unhealty and thought to produce sickness in some cases. The people of the Middle Ages also drank fresh fruit Juices, which are considered healthy. They enjoyed fruit juices and loved drinking them when they were available

It's easy to shame others for what they eat, I know, I do it all the time. One moment I'm judging the lady in front of me at the grocery store for buying donuts and mac and cheese and the next week I'm sneaking two pints of ice cream under my vegetables. Life is difficult, and temptation is everywhere. These two in combination is why we have an obesity epidemic. We are temporarily taken out of our situation when we indulge in processed foods, no different than alcohol consumption. This is why I now consider all shitty foods poison and extremely addictive. If I think this way then I will have far more respect for their power over me and maybe... fingers crossed, they will have less control over my life. We are being delusional when we say this sugar food is a treat... that we have four days a week haha. We are without a doubt addicts, and we must treat all these shit foods as our addiction that needs to be conquered no different than someone in AA. I am currently 2 weeks sober from processed foods. "But a once in awhile treat isn't bad!" OK, then tell that to someone in AA, see how they respond.
