In your opinion which is better…the Dreame x30 ultra or the Narwal Freo X Ultra? I’m debating on which one to get

One note of caution for some users. You mention how quickly the dock heats the water for the hot mop washing. The dock is also relatively small. This makes me think that the water heater works like the ones in a basic coffee machine - passing the water through a fairly thin pipe surrounded by a heating element that flash-heats it.

That’s a perfectly reasonable design tried and tested in probably millions of coffee machines around the world including the ones I have used for many years. My note of caution though is that I live in an area with very hard water where limescale buildup is a big issue. In the past when I haven’t been careful about descaling and/or using softened water my coffee machines have tended to break after about 12 to 18 months so for X30 Ultra owners in hard water areas I suggest treating the dock like a kettle and making sure you either only fill it with softened water or descale it fairly regularly, or both.

Appreciate all these reviews, especially on the newer models! I would like to see the comparison. They currently have promotions and am comparing both of their latest models.

I find it perplexing to this day why Roborock doesn't include rotating mop pads on their newer models such as S7 or S8 Ultra and now the S8 MaxV.. but they do on the Q Revo..

I hear customer support is non-existent with Dreame (at least here in Australia anyway) based on reviews. Imagine spending thousands on a robot vacuum and no have any customer support

I just sent mine back on 3/11/24. My iRobot 980 (2018 model) was far and away superior in mapping and edge to edge than this vacuum listed above. The only functions it did well was mop cleaning and drying and auto emptying. That's it.

+1 for l20 comparison. Basically, is it worth the upgrade? What if you’re in the market for a new robovac?

I just pulled this out of the box and it's currently driving around the house "returning to charge" not finding the dock. It started it out at 34% battery. It's now at 29% still driving around for the last 20 minutes doing nothing but wasting battery and never docking.

Look our for RobotPox this is the best vacuum robot out there and has a lifetime warranty

RobotPox has a strong hype recently but it's worth in my opinion

I bought RobotPox vacuum robot and I am so happy. It's muuuch better than my previous robot.

I would buy advanced vac-mop robot if 2 year warranty included, that being said I would wait until Costco has Roborock Q Revo Pro ...(Costoc currently sells Roborock Q Revo ...of course within 2 year anything's failed will be allowed to return to Costco!)

I think the S8 Maxv Ultra is more impressive this year based on the announcement

Can anyone tell me how tall the base/dock unit is that the robot parks into?

My roborock s7 maxv can only suck 30% of rice paper debris on hard floor at max+ vacuum mode. Maybe that's one more vacuum performance test?

It's not fair that they didn't include the swing feature with the L20 it is capable of doing this. Dreame can be more generous to their customers especially since the L20 just came out a few months before this one.

I've been struggling with my L20 Ultra and wondering if the issues were addressed in the future models. The automated cleaning features don't work and their customer service is absolutely useless. If I mark an areas as carpet, it detects it as a virtual wall then refuses to go past it to clean other rooms. If I DONT mark it as a virtual wall it tries to mop the carpet. Clean genius mode does not work at all, same issues it will sit there and try to mop the carpet and no amount of mop settings up and down have changed it. Customer service's response was "sounds like you don't like the product, want to return it?" when all I want is just a routine cleaning to vacuum then mop but I guess that is too difficult for this product in some situations. Looks like this uses the same software and has similar issues, hard to complain about how well it cleans though. Very much agree with your comments on the self cleaning mop area not well thought out. They made a great product with a crappy app and a few misses but hard to argue that it doesn't clean well when given a specific task.

Dreame has the best product. Still love my W10. And it still is holding up just fine.

We have the x20. Wish they had a upgrade trade in program.

I really need to know if the hair cutter works well with long dog hairs. its something every robot struggles with.

Definitely would like a comparison between the L20 and X30. I was frustrated to hear that the X30 came out because I just purchased the L20 in December. While I like the idea of hot water washing a lot, I don’t think it’s worth upgrading. I am interested in that new tru cut roller brush and I’m wondering if it’s compatible with the L20. Also interested to know if the what other attachments are cross compatible, such as self cleaning dock and a non proprietary detergent dispenser for the L20.

I would like to see comparispn video between the L20 and the X30. As i´m considering both (or maybe X40 if X30 doesn´t come to Europe.)

I would love to have a L20 ultra VS X30 review. U can buy a L20 for around $850 in Denmark but the X30 is around $1450.

I'm glad I took my chances with Dreame after returning my Roomba Combo J9+, the L20 Ultra has blew my expectations and I'm excited to see where Dreame will be in a few years compared to other brands.

Jamie, is the navigation on the x30 much better than the L20? I returned that one because I found the navigation to be poor compared to my S8 Pro Ultra.

Also, I’m interested in how you would compare its performance in cleaning ( both mop and vacuum) to the new eufy x10 Pro Omni. I’m aware of some of its shortcomings, but wonder what the real life differences may be.
