With the load out of 180 rounds a guy, 30 bullets a mag × 6 = 18,000 bullets, they'd run out of bullets before they got anywhere near numerically equal. So really they never had a chance to win in the first place.

Wow not one soldier had grenades? That's the first thing I'd hurl if they started coming closer. Also where are the snipers far away picking people off? Where is the shock factor of never seeing guns and for the Spartans seeing their brother on their side literally fall with blood? That alone would scare many to retreat.

So, I know this needs not be said, but Infinite Ammo is the number one glaring flaw in this sim. Now I ran some calcs, each modern soldier would have to carry 200 rounds if they were to have dead-on accuracy with one shot per spartan.
Two, modern soldiers of normal training are taught to fire two rounds center mass, so each soldier would have to carry 400 rounds, realistically, again, the soldiers would have to have dead-on accuracy.
Three, soldiers are taught to load 25 rounds per mag, so 16 mags would have to be carried per soldier. Normal carry for long term combat is 12 mags for small arms and another 400 rounds for automatic weapons like the SAW and 240B, each.
Four, modern soldiers would not stand stationary in a group of four rows, either. I noticed a lot of friendly fire that should have killed modern soldiers.
Five, The spartans wouldn't just keep rushing head on into anything. They would've used a pincer maneuver as quickly as possible.

I guess my point is, including reload times, this would've been over for the modern soldiers a lot quicker, even if they were using evasive maneuvers, then accounting for the inaccuracy of the shots while moving, each soldier would have to carry quadruple the amount of ammo.

Both platoons would have fought differently. Ultimately the spartans of the past would have won!

Last time i checked, Even Special Opts soldiers carried about 300 round of . .556... not enough ammo.

Each soldier carries 210 rounds of ammunition (seven 30-round magazines), and there were 18,106 kills. Assuming roughly 2,800 double taps, triple taps and strays, it means nearly all of them were on their last bullet. 🔫

Running out of ammo, gun jams, and the need to reload not to mention the inevitable accidental friendly fire would completely change this scenario

А учитывалось время на перезарядку а также износ оружия во время такой интенсивной стрельбы? Спартанцы, скорее всего, во время боя, когда поняли что имеют дело с инновационным оружием и более развитыми стратегическими действиями со стороны противника, поменяли бы тактику и взяли бы в кольцо противника мелкими группами, а не сталкивались лоб в лоб. И возможно, они бы брали щиты у убитых и складывали по 3-4 штуки, прикрывая себя. И не забываем про человеческий фактор, на тебя идёт 20 000 войско, ты их слышишь за километры, земля дрожит, я думаю даже у оторваных вояк очко бы зжималось, потели бы руки и возникали бы необдуманные действия. Поэтому считаю, что спартанцы разнесли бы 100 ввоенных потеряв человек 500-600, не более.

First of all, the Spartans would have moved into dome formation as soon as the first Spartan fell to bullets.
And the modern shooters would have formed a double half ring, so every time a soldier needed to reload, he was switched out. And they would be constantly retreating as soldiers swapped back to reload. It's obvious based on how the last few died that rectangular formation is pointless, and friendly fire would have killed half of them.

Spartans did have bowmen and they could construct mobile barriers to hide behind after seeing hundreds of there soldiers cut down. The Maries would have done best under cover of night and not in the open.

In some ways these simulations are ridiculous. An American unit of 100 men would have air and support. Air support probably a couple of Apache helicopters and/or A10s. Artillery support would be available,too. Don’t forget resupply for ammunition and other supplies for the Americans. It would be a turkey shoot.

Make them fight with real weapons like spears, swords and so on, like real soldiers, not these modern cowards and their firearms.
