They definetly decided to change the character as soon as The Originals started. Klaus in the beginning of TVD was threating but charming, because he was always keeping control of himself. We for sure felt the great power in him and this is because he had this power that he didn't NEED to prove anything.
I understand they had to develop the character in The Originals but to me, they should have made him a bit less characterial. The way Joseph Morgan played that guy always has been fantastic and that guy should definitely have an award or some kind of reward (in my opinion he's maybe the most talentuous actor in the whole TVD and The Originals shows) but still, they should have keep that charming side of Klaus they had first.

The introduction of The Originals (Elijah, Klaus, Rebekah) was the best thing to happen to TVD. It took everything in me to get past "everyone and their mother, falling head over heals trying to help a 16 year old girl out". Every single storyline Elena had something to do with, didn't matter if it made sense or not, she was going to be incorporated. I was about to give up until Elijah came on the scene, then I thought O.K. now we're getting somewhere. Then Klaus shows up and I was a gonner. I absolutely feel in love with the Mikaelson's and once T.O. came out. I dropped TVD like a bad habit and made my way over to the grown folks side of things.

It was always Hilarious how Vampire Diaries made it ok for someone like Damon to stand up to Klaus lol Dude would get shredded in seconds

Man tbh Klaus wasn't even bad mans just wanted a family because his entire family have pulled some selfish shit Elijah leaving family for love, Finn just because he hates everyone in his family but his mother and Freya, Kol because he never understood how much Klaus cared about him even though Kol wanted to be free of Klaus, Rebecca because she feels like she fucking deserves to be free of Klaus even though she is the main one who has betrayed him no matter how fucking much she gets redeemed, Freya just because she mostly because they disliked each other before they got close, Esther because she wanted all her kids dead but them to just not be Originals anymore.

First I loved Damon; Second was Klaus….Time past but I still don’t know whom if they both I should call crush.
