we bought splatoon 2 over 3 for our kids based entirely on seeing a 3 trailer of a squid person (who look really young) being oversexualized. its sounds trite, i know, but the devil's in the details.

Man there's only like 44 min left on sale IDK if i should get this game cuz i couldn't even finish the octopus dlc in this game cuz i couldn't find anyone to play with so that was all i could play with level 0 weapons and no way to upgrade or anything unless i was able to win and not being use to the controls or able to tune it to turn it off just killed it but this game where it's online ONLY needs bots and AI so that we aren't left with no game but an endless lobby cuz this has been my experience trying to find any matches for the last year i tried playing it i just give up and go well that was a total waste of $I'm sure it's fun when there's ppl to play with but i ain't waiting 45m and i have way less followers on x lol so i can't use Twitter to get ppl in my game lol IDK if 3s any better or if it'll still be played like a year or 5 later? I hate games like that pvz did the same thing games what really needed bots cuz if u can't even start the game without waiting on other players that's a recipe to kill your game in 1yr guaranteed

I can't believe this game is 6 years old... I bought Splatoon 1 nearly 8-9 years ago and Splatoon 2 when it came out. I fell out of Splatoon around 5 years ago, but recently I've been getting recommended content to it which has made me want to play it again, simply for the nostalgia. It's crazy how old it is though now.

Honestly if y’all wanna play splatoon 2, go for it, game isn’t dead, just because 3 is out, it won’t make 2 suddenly dead now. Sorta like Cod, they were at least 7 cods during ps3/360 era and many people played different cods not justthe recent one.

Was an old splatoon 2 player and quitted bc of too much work irl. I am finally coming back to this game for some memories and learn that I have to buy splatoon 3. Y'all do NOT know how I feel :(
