Duck eggs have a much better taste than chicken eggs my favorite duck eggs are Welsh Harlequin and magpies
and there's a lot of people that are allergic to chicken eggs but can have duck eggs

Not sure you need this "either or" attitude. I have both, and they get along just fine. The chickens produce eggs, the ducks produce meat, they both forage but in different ways. Why not both?

I had ducks, but they are not as cheap as they tell us. Ducks eats more food than the ducks do, but it all depends that they go out to eat in the garden.

The cons for ducks:
for those keeping indoors, please make sure your ducks have a diaper because adults poop every 15 minutes while baby ducks(ducklings) poop every 10 minutes and they are more watery, messy than chicken eggs.

If you dont have a diaper but have a farm, then you can let your ducks roam freely in the farm/coop.

Their poop will drop seeds and fertilize the soil unlike dog poop and pee which kills plants.

Dont have a farm and no duck diaper still? Then buy plenty of toilet paper to get ready for the mess.
