I came to this country at the age of 14 with student visa graduated high school went back to Guatemala where I was born tried to continue my education there I couldn't had to work to help my mother and the salary there was bad and I was having a hard time getting a job needed credentials to be able to work .
found myself feeling like my country was not my country so I decided to return to the US.
with $100 dollars in my pocket and a small back pack
worked on a truck loading produce part of the way and after. a month of struggles made it to TJ
crossed the border by myself.
once here I went back to school graduated from USC Biology Mayor worked to support myself
while in high school I became a mechanic so I was able to get a job. pay for school and help Mom
There are many of us that make it and choose not to succeed
I get angry at the ones that are born in this country have all the benefits to do well and they choose to become gang members or drug addicts
life is full of choices is up to us to choose the right path!
