I really enjoy your videos, man. I learn a lot. Thanks.
ОтветитьI toured Concorde at Aerospace Bristol, Filton, UK and it's better displayed. No plexiglass screens. You feel like a boarding passenger. The tunnel from cabin to flight deck is so narrow you need to diet.
ОтветитьI flew on this actual Concorde in may 1987 it was an experience flight I was in shock when I disembarked at Edinburgh airport it was a wonderful experience greetings from Scotland 🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧
ОтветитьI absolutely love this video Paul! Please keep up the great work 👍
ОтветитьThe greatest plane ever designed, built and put into service. No comparison.
ОтветитьBrings back memories for me as i flew on this very concorde G BOAG in August 1988 and sat in seat 8b which you walked past, also which is nice for me personally is my surname is Pain and its now retired at Paine field 😍
ОтветитьEveryone else is playing catch up.🇬🇧
ОтветитьMy mother was senior BA cabin crew in the 80's - 90's & tried out for Concorde crew, but at 178cm she was too tall. I did get to see the last ever flight of Concorde as it paraded over London. It's a shame they didn't keep one running for airshows.
ОтветитьTo sit in Concorde was like being crammed into a "tin of sardines"; I would not call that "first class" (not even fifth class).
ОтветитьAlthough I never flew in Concorde, I have been in 3 thanks to a family friend working at Heathrow back in the 80's. One was being stripped out for maintenance where you realise how small the cabin area is. The best part was sitting in the captain's seat of another whilst the engines were being tested, followed by getting to put the nose up and down before being taxied back into the hanger.
Ответитьsupose you had 40 of the best people involved in the plane, and all the money you need how long do you reckon they could make this thing fly again
ОтветитьGood Afternoon.
Another Case for another Aircraft to Far ahead of her time and Expensive and Per Passenger Ticket wise hope you had a good Bank And Healthy Bank Balance.
This Plane is so Perfect in Design and Construction you wonder how no more than 12 (Twelve) were ever built.
Easy to Answer, The Airline's were not widely accepting of the type and not SST Ready Travel.wise to gamble on.
We Recently read about the Boom Overture and Orders already from United and Another Airline and then Rolls Royce I believe pulled the Pin on the Type Power Plants wise and no one has yet come to the party on the Engine Front.
I wonder what would happen if even one of the American Based Aircraft Manufacturers or Airbus Industries picked up the Tab and Purchased the Rights to this Aircraft with a view of looking into the Future Market Place.
Given today's Modern Composite Materials available for High Technology Construction wise not to mention the Avionics upgrade and Pilot Intergration also new Power Plants and in that Reconstruction an increase in size of the Aircraft itself Width wise to allow greater room inside even a single seat Positioning wise down the middle and larger windows on the Aircraft, Who Know's what the Future will Bring Back to the Present from the Past.
We Could go on and on about that for ever.
Good Video, Narrative and Technology talk wise, Loved it.
Regards
John

Great video😊
ОтветитьFlew on AG on 22nd July 2003! LHR JFK Seat 1A!
ОтветитьMy dad went on one of the publicity flights in the early 70s, he said It was tiny but an incredible experience. I do love it, it was remarkable in every way. Such a shame it was too expensive to live.
ОтветитьWow they put glass everywhere! At least on the Concorde in NYC at the intrepid you can sit down on the seats and go into the cockpit
ОтветитьYet again, another information packed sensational video. I like that your videos are short, sharp and to the point. Thanks for making them.
ОтветитьConcorde Cool🙂👍
ОтветитьThis is great. One thing: don't the Brits call the afterburner "re-heat"? I thought everyone else called it afterburner.
ОтветитьAre those two small canards on the nose?
ОтветитьA beautifully designed plane and a credit to the French engineers and technicians who made it possible. The British also contributed but they were restricted due to the country being in recession and overspending on the project which meant they had to rely on the superior expertise and financial support of France, Vive la France!
ОтветитьI never was a passenger on one of these but I saw one do a flyover during an air show when I was living in Toronto a long time ago. It sure was loud.
ОтветитьIf they rolled this Concorde out of the hangar tomorrow for the first time ever and said we now have a supersonic airliner for the first time ever you would believe that its a 2023 airplane design fs !
ОтветитьGreat video but would have loved to spend more time in the cockpit..
ОтветитьThe first time I walked around Udvar Hazy I was a little amazed at how small these aircraft are. When you see them on TV they look so huge. I haven't been there since 2012 but I don't think that it's changed much.
ОтветитьI want to ride on a concord . is this possible?
ОтветитьNice!.. like a huge dart 👍✈️🇳🇿
ОтветитьOk
ОтветитьCool video
ОтветитьHas this concorde been resprayed?
ОтветитьAnother wonderful video.
Always enjoyed watching theses aircraft take off and land.
Here’s a thought, maybe you could do one of your in depth tours of a BAC 1-11. I have a deep love for that aircraft as I flew a corporate one eleven for several years.
I have always wanted to fly on one but by the time I was adult they were grounded and hope one day there will be something similar
ОтветитьGreat video Paul - the only class was in fact Supersonic Class not First. Although relatively small the seats were supremely comfortable and the irony of my flights was that I wanted them to last longer, defeating Concorde’s whole purpose, as it was such a fantastic experience! One of the absolute best highlights of my life! Fantastic to see BOAG is such great & well looked after condition !
ОтветитьHi Paul, you mentioned the use of the fuel as a heat sink. Fuel was also used to trim the aircraft. Since aerodynamic trimming was not considered ideal, because of the lack of a horizontal stabiliser and the desire for a clean aerodynamic profile, fuel was shifted fore and aft to move the aircraft centre of gravity depending on flight conditions. Keeping the aircraft ‘in trim’ was the task of the flight engineer.
ОтветитьA long time ago my family flew to Majorca in the latest model of this fine machine. My youngest daughter was entranced by the toilet which had a sink that folded up against the wall. She wanted to go every ten minutes but no one seemed to mind. The aircraft was a terrific design that deserved far better than it got.
ОтветитьI wonder how efficient a modern interpretation would be?
ОтветитьAnalog wonder
ОтветитьWTF
ОтветитьI definitely felt emotional when Concorde was canned. An unfulfilled ambition! Iconic. Curiously I felt similarly at the canning of Space Shuttle so it’s not just a Brit thing. I happened to be in Florida a few months before the last ever flight and visited the Kennedy Space Centre and saw the last shuttle on the launch pad - it’s there for weeks being prepared. I had a lump in my throat then too.
ОтветитьThis is the one I flew on! ❤❤❤
ОтветитьWHY WHY WHY is there 50 seconds of SHIT adverts at the start. You utter brainless clueless SCUM.
ОтветитьI went inside the Concorde on this museum with my family in 2017! It’s one of my favorite airplanes because of its unique design that makes it faster than a speed of sound.
ОтветитьWhere is this place ?
ОтветитьGreat video. Yes, the museum is located right around the corner from Raisbeck Aviation School in South Seattle. I never flew Concorde but my Dad did... loved it. I wish we had more advanced jet planes... seems tragic how everything ended shortly after the Air France disaster. The history of the Concorde is unlike any other program! Cheers!
ОтветитьSomething is wrong with your video !! The voice over keeps talking over itself and cutting itself off
ОтветитьWhere is this museum?
Ответитьyour voiceovers are off, paul. they overlap a few times around 4-5 minutes
ОтветитьAmazing aircraft and even more amazing video. ❤
ОтветитьThanks for watching everyone! If you enjoyed the video, please give it a thumbs up. And feel free to subscribe as I have many more videos coming over the next few months... X-15, F-22, YF-23, the first 747/727/737, B-17, B-29, B-36, B-47, XB-70, Hughes H-4 Hercules, YF-12, Space Shuttle Orbiter and more... (footage is already captured so I just need to edit it!)
