House burning: it would appear not enough has changed in the south between 1963 & 1996!

Rauf, my fellow human brother. Don’t blame the US for a dirty past. Keep reading. Every major country in existence has a dirty, murderous, racist past. But don’t associate the whole country and all it’s citizens like that. The worst people in our country are the politicians on both sides and the media. They together and complicit. You are a great player the true best shooter the league has ever seen. Don’t allow a religion to cloud your better judgement. Whatever it may be. God bless my fellow human brother. Love, peace and happiness will be your gifts. You still live here for a reason. If it was that bad you would have left long ago. 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼

can't talk about the atrocities United States was built on, the attempted genocide of Native Americans and the taking of their land, then building the rest on the backs of slaves, while sitting back building a system that is in favor of the white immigrants and their immigrant anchor babies they left here generations ago.

Great player! I saw him face off against Gerald Glass in Oxford, Mississippi. Personally, I find it a shame that he let his left-wing politics get in the way of his basketball career. Most fans don't like being lectured to.

If he felt such a strong conviction to stand against the US, he should have stopped accepting paychecks to entertain its citizens, renounced his citizenship, and moved to a country under Islamic rule like Iran.

“Families were hurt, people lost income, reputations were destroyed” he forgot to add, “all because of my actions” lol the US is so repugnant that you can’t even stand for the anthem, but once they say “okay, leave then” he back tracked quick and started standing. The definition of a sellout.

The fact that he received so much hate and had his home burned down is proof that what he was fighting against is still a major part of the world we live in.

"Racsim doesn't exist."

Yeah, tell that to the guy who just had his home burned down by the klan.

The irony is that if he did this today he’d be on the cover of SI, and teams would be fighting to sign him. What a tragedy. He made me fall in love with the game when I randomly turned on ESPN in 1988 and watched him drop 53 points on Florida in only his 4th or 5th game of his freshman year at LSU
