You point 4 on cost basis makes no sense. When you sell limit order spread does not play a role , that's why it is Limit order.

Hi Ziet! I am a 1st time user of IBKR and want to buy options using DAS trader. When I try to buy 25 SPY contracts for 0.39 each, it says my equity with loan value is -1284 CAD.. must be higher than 52.77 CAD. I have CAD$2150 in my account. Any ideas why this is? should I covert base currency to USD and convert all my cad to USD to see if this is the issue?

And also say that "your application is approved!" The only think who is not check is "open an Additional Account" Do I really need to open a Additional account?
