Terrific restoration for a very challenging project. Most of us beekeepers in North Carolina burn dried pine needles for smoking hives. Smoke doesn’t really calm the bees; rather it turns on their natural instinct to protect their queen (rather than go out of the hive). Smoke = wildfire = danger.
When you smoke them - they tend to regress down into the hive next to the Almighty Queen Bee.

Nice result, but as a beekeeper I have to say that it will be a shame when the paint burns off. Smokers get really hot, which is why they are usually made from galvanized steel. Not only that but the paint on the interior parts will create toxic smoke for any bees you use it on so please keep this as a display only.

Ich habe erst vor kurzem euren Kanal gefunden und bin ganz begeistert von deiner Arbeit. Ich sehe mir jeden Tag zum Frühstück ein oder zwei Videos von Dir an und bin dann ganz motiviert, wenn ich sehe was Du aus Schrott und Müll alles mit Deinem Können und Ideenreichtum schaffst, leider fehlt mir dein Können. Bei den meisten Dingen die Du so restaurierst, weiß ich zu Beginn des Video gar nicht was das einmal gewesen sein soll. Nur beim Bajonett hatte man gemerkt, dass deine Leidenschaft mehr bei den Haushaltsgeräten und Werkzeugen liegt und nicht bei den Waffen. Ich freue mich auf jedes neue 👀Video👀 von Dir, wenn keines da ist tröste ich mich den alten Folgen. 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍

Why didn't you put some kind of treatment on the leather? It seems like the leather will dry out & crack without something to preserve the leather part of the bellows. (Especially the leather hinge)
