ОтветитьThank you Mel 😊
ОтветитьHi Mel! 🎉 Keep up the good work! 👍
ОтветитьI needed this episode. Thanks, Mel.
ОтветитьRegarding the example of the dog that gets shouted at when barking at the door.
I went through a stage where I would get nauseous every morning (not pregnant - I know what needs to happen to get pregnant and I wasn't engaged in such activities at the time 😅).
I kept track of everything from what I ate the night before, the times I ate, my morning coffee time, etc.
Eventually realised it was when I started even thinking about getting ready. That was my trigger. For the first time in my life, I was experiencing nausea due to anxiety. And realised it had to do with my job.
Extremely useful 😊
ОтветитьSuccess can be found in small baby steps 🎉
Ответитьwhat is the point of eating a buritto full of calories after gym when you are trying to keep your weight in check by going to the gym...I would get bored with a food reward
ОтветитьMel, I love your informative videos like this ❤❤
ОтветитьAny tips on rewards for getting out of bed early when nothing feels rewarding, you just want to sleep and you feel nauseous?
ОтветитьThis is awesome! I cannot train other people snd i am not willing to bother anymore BUT I can train myself
ОтветитьI have been waiting for this for at least a year. I didn't know I needed it 🎉
ОтветитьI started working on giving myself rewards for good behavior. I give myself grace and compassion, I used to be very critical, but I'm trying to be better to myself and for myself. I used to accept whatever behavior people gave me. Now I expect better, and treat myself better. By doing this, omg the amount of personal growth is amazing. I'm feeling better, being better.
ОтветитьLove your podcast can I ask why the F bomb is used so much 😢
ОтветитьHi Mel, My reward every day when I get up to exercise (walk) is to take you with me. I googled how to reward myself for exercising knowing it couldn’t be a candy bar. Googled said, “take a friend”. Tag, you are it. You are my friend who walks with me everyday. Either I listen to one of your new podcast or listen to an older podcast.
Ответитьlistened to the one on goals first and am now realizing I set habits instead of goals lol so going to go back and revise after this episode
Ответить11 minutes and im starting to feel really tired that you haven't start communicating information:0

Ответитьso i wanted to ask that if you cant give yourself the reward due to lack of money then whats the alternative of it ?
ОтветитьI wish I could figure out the proper reward...😢
ОтветитьGood information just starting to listen to Mel thank for all your hard work
ОтветитьActually, you can and should wean off of treats for behaviors once they are well established. Verbal reinforcement has a lot of advantages.

ОтветитьWho named these pets
ОтветитьI decided to listen to your videos everyday for the next year in order to change my mindset and undo 19 years of toxic childhood trauma because lately I’ve become completely home bound due to getting older and losing motivation. I’ve done so many treatments to help with anxiety, cptsd, adhd (which you helped me discover) and the most recent I’m doing now is acupuncture that helped me stop having frozen margaritas everyday for a few months. Stopped it almost immediately. Love my acupuncturist and we’re working on other things right now like emotional eating.
ОтветитьI loved what she said '' What is a habit: A habit is something that you do so often that it's automatic. That's it. There's no drama, there's no resistance, there are no feelings involved in it. Habits are something that you do that you even don't think about''
Ответить“There are my tights laid out on the floor like a middle finger” God, ur so funny Mel. You made me laugh
Ответитьsometimes In her intonation I hear Jim Rohn!!!
ОтветитьI really hope this helps me
ОтветитьGreat content Mel, love this. With addictions eventually the size , the amount of the reward has to increase to be experienced. Is that necessary for non addictive behaviours / Habits does the reward have to be increased as well?
