Battle of Plains of Abraham (Battle for Canada 1759 - Seven Years War)

The Battle of the Plains of Abraham took place in 1759 and was part of the Seven Years War between Britain and France. A British force under the command of General James Wolfe was ordered to capture the capital of New France, Quebec City. Would the British be able to navigate the dangerous St Lawrence River?
