The Coercive Recruiter on Rocco pops off with Kiki because each copy sees a Pirate entering, so you get infinite steals/untaps, which lets you steal everyone's creatures and then win under TOR protection/post-combat with Shaman of the Forgotten Ways. It's a reasonable include that still does the stuff Rocco cares about, same with Shaman which is still a dork at the end of the day.

A note about my run: I started out 0-3 on Saturday, was about to drop and said “as soon as I lose again, I’ll drop” then just didn’t lose again until top 16.

Phelia goes nuts. Yeah you arent really flickering your own stuff. Removing drannith just on your turn. Flickering stax pieces. Removing rhystic to go jam! Allows you to go for it and if you fail these pieces come back to impact your opponents

Ok first of all you really know your stuff! The saccing creatures, the synergies with sieze the spotlight, you know WALTUH! You do your homework. Btw deadpool loops with technomancer as combo that wins the game

I don’t know if it’s been mentioned but Nexus of Becoming in Magda lets you make artifact versions of any dwarf in your hand to win right away

Could be coincidence but at some point things are too similar.. Shoutout my sphinx friend hope the top16s keep rolling in for you like they do me.. ornithopter.. thraben charm... I was getting ruined by bad plays in the bottom bracket so was nice to see least one of us make it to top..

dude I would LOVE to yap about lumra and the various card choices, almost every card in the deck has a ton of depth and some odd winning line attached to it. Truly a deck rooted in synergy

I was there as well and drove 14 hours got screwed out of top16 cause of 2 games back to back scooping at instant speed 1 causing a loss that was gonna be a draw and the other causing a draw when I was about to win

Saying a conversion rate of 10% is low is very deceiving in a context like this. When a deck has 25 entries of course the conversion rate to top 16 will be low. Even if all 16 decks are that one it won't be 100 percent whereas decks woth less entries can more easily get high conversion percentages. If you really want to use that as a metroc you would have to weight those.
E.g. a tournament has 100 players and we have a top 16. Deck A was entered 25 times.
Then calculating (16/100)*25 will give us the number of deck A we would expect to see in the top cut, in this case 4. So if there are more than 4 of deck A in the top cut it was overperforming. And of course the larger the tournament the lower the "conversion rate" will be for decks with many entries even if they are still overperforming
