Waste of a video. Just use a helicoil and save about an hours work.
But how do you know the size
Interesting. I'm no engineer but why not just drill out and re-tap for a slightly larger diameter bolt? thanks for sharing. Regards Stephen
Just use a bigger bolt
Jos
Good job😊
Now that’s a beautiful thing
Done it this way before, this guy did a great job as well.
Serviço e ferramenta de qualidade.
No I don't like this way. That, won't last at all.
Ответитьthis...will work!
We have thread inserts
Ответитьtoo good... my situation is so different with a stripped special size 'reverse' thread !! LoL
Thread replacement.
There's also a thing called heli coil.
Nice friend you can use oxyacetylene to fill hole and repair this technique too.
I really like your video because I do this content too.
What if one of my threads are cracked and both are stripped? Is there anything I can do bc I was told I may not be able to tap it and may just have to get a whole new head for my bike
Desert people just half ass absolutely everything.
Amazing....
I've always filled with weld and re drilled and tapped..but this would work I guess

Very nice tip.
Thanks.
Looks like he doesn’t know
Good job! ;)
I like this amazing and perfect idea sir thank you for sharing
Great job
A really neat idea of usage its like a complete repair due to it fuses when using a countersink bit
We're are you going to get all that
Nothing new here helicoils have been available for decades and is better
Just like I was taught when an apprentice 50 years ago - worked then, and still does.
In some cases I would prefer this instead of a helicoil. Drilling out and then using a larger all thread thats been drilled out, then cut new treads. More metal to have instead of a thin helicoil.
Not to mention heli coil is also stronger
Ответитьinteresting, that they have access to hollow bolts to make threads inserts but not access to actual thread inserts
Lot of extra work if your working flat rate helicoil works best
Or a 30 second heli coil
Just get a Healy coil kit
Threaded inserts are available at you local Ace.
Amazing”?……🥱
Nerv wracking
