It’s a real shame, because the concept the film was going for was interesting.

The most pathetic thing about this plot line is that if these guys had lives soooo many lives and could recall them, they have ZERO wisdom from living so many lives. After lifetimes of fighting and killing, you would imagine they would be tired of the killing and become buddhist monks or something like that. The main bad character wants to end his cycle of reincarnation so he decides he HAS NO CHOICE but to kill everyone in the world???? gimme a break. He also has the ability to shoot someone and suck out their soul for storage and STOP them from reincarnating? So WHY doesn't he turn that on himself? These bad characters who have lived so looooong seem to have NO compassion for others and NO wisdom from living so many lives. Kinda negates the concept of "old soul." But that really reflects the lack of wisdom of the writers, not the actors.

This movie could have been good all the way up to the point where we dies and then is reincarnated into a 50 year old man given the fact they were in modern super cars. Then it jumps to where he is in a 12 year old while others were babies. It could have been badass but they tried squeeze too much in instead of letting develop.

I had so much hope for this movie. Such a cool concept but I had a really bad feeling that they were going to drop the ball.

when they introduce the prison bullets, the first question was why the black dude didn't shoot him self and end his nagging but then i thought there should be something they will explain the reason why not later but the f***ers just make a stupid plot hole.
the fights with axes and sword when the could just use guns and end a lot of scenes.

I just watched it, and the first 10 minutes had me. I liked the storyline and music, but after that it just couldnt keep my attention. This movie could have used a part 1 and 2 to set up the impact better. And Mark Walhberg is the new Keanu Reeves, the new greatest emotionless actor.

You have a movie where you can literally be anyone or anything in history... and everyone was almost literally the same gender race and species every reincarnation?

Yoooo, i literally ducked when that spit came out. I didn't understand why the antagonist had henchmen. Dude you want to kill yourself and not come back how many other people truly feel that way? Why did he know everywhere they would be? Concept coulda been dope. And of course Dylan O'Brien as lead

My biggest issue (besides Dylan getting robbed) is the whole plot is that Bathurst wanted to die, to not be reincarnated again. The whole plot of ending the world centers on that, so it's crucial not to fuck it up. And then they introduce a bullet that can "kill" infinites, to such a degree that you could discard the resulting chip in a sealed case and effectively kill an infinite forever, and yet Bathurst doesn't immediately shoot himself with it? Like isn't that the whole point? And nothing in the movie ever hints that you're awake during this state, so it is effectively death for as long as the chip is intact. It's just so dumb lol

I liked the movie

Apart from its Fascinating Concept, Everything else was just 'meh'. And I'm glad to find out that I'm not the only one who thought Dylan O'Brien should have been the lead guy over here.

I did not enjoy this movie at all. It had some cool action scenes but it wasn't enough to hold my interest and after about 40 minutes I checked out. I had no idea what the story was or where it was going and maybe it all came together in the second half but by then I was bored outta my mind and couldn't take anymore

The gun created a huge plot hole though. He wants to end all life because he hates reincarnation..... but they created the tech to stop it inside of the gun... its said that if that bullet kills them they cant come back. Why not use that on himself? He doesnt need to kill everything.

I was trying to figure out why the “bad guys” would all want to die along with main villain

I was on the side of the bad guys cause they were frustrated reliving their lives over and over again in their memories for eternity. That must be really frustrating and I felt them. It was good for them to die but there is a flaw in the movie. If they wanted to die, they could have killed themselves and asked one of the believer to store them in that shelf he made out of glass. That would do the same thing. What's the use of killing all humanity to erase the host (living body) from existence!!!

Honestly mark should have been the Past Life and Dylan should have been Present Life... Shit made no sense! Literally stopped caring halfway after I found out Dylan died.

The movie itself is so cliche and sucked and Mark Wahlberg that's a joke he couldn't act if you gave him a $1000000 and put his head underwater personally I think he's the shittiest actor they've got in Hollywood and this guy is so full of himself it's unbelievable

I didnt get the fuzz about the egg thing.. why not just build another one?!
The gun was an option to use on him self but not perfect as he could be recarnated if the chip was destroyed, but there are damn good ways to make sure that that chance is near 0%
the million and one plot holes coupled with ever increasing lack of commen sense by the minute multiplied by the 5 planks of wood that makes up the cast of this movie.. errh, it was pretty shit

A little disappointing for an Antoine Fuqua film. His films have never let me down, this time however i was really disappointed. Antoine Fuqua should stick to action. He’s my favourite director. I also love Mark Wahlberg but this wasn’t the right film for him. It was a weak role.

Chase scene was awesome then the plot went sideways.

I just watched it on the plane and the Testarossa chase introduction was so cool, and I thought it would be a great movie. You are absolutely right that Dylan O'Brien is much better to lead the movie. Dylan is the only right person - I would cast him like one man American Assassin in this movie. There are many things I don't like, for example, the blue hair asian girl (is it the same actress in Matrix 4) and those dumbass doctor strange martial art training - stupid, and the whole story settings are out of place. Mark Walberg is the worst in entire movie.
