Mixed Media Portrait Art - Layered Panels, Hot Glue Embellishments, Hand-Drawn Lacework

Hi All!

I'm just getting back to the art studio after being laid up with COVID for a full week. I loved creating this lady with black lace. She went through a few tweaks before she was camera ready, and I enjoyed every second of it! I hope you will, too!

MATERIALS:

CANVAS: 7x10 90lb watercolor paper (Artist's Loft)
ACRYLICS: FolkArt Sea Shell Pink, DecoArt Buttermilk, FolkArt Vintage White, FolkArt Olive Green, FolkArt Forest Moss, FolkArt Raw Umber, FolkArt 871 Pure Gold
PASTELS: Colour Block, Arrtx, and PanPastels: Cream, Brown, Black, Wine, Dark Orange, Moss Green
PENS & PENCILS: Micron 08, Arteza Black and White Gel Pens, Arteza Black Real Brush Pen; No. 2 graphite pencil, white pastel pencil

PASTES: All Purpose Joint Compound
EMBELLISMENTS: "Hot Glue Rivets", strips of watercolor paper
TOOLS: Soft acrylic brushes and water brushes, sponge applicators
OTHER: Rubbing alcohol, glycerin, Degas Spectafix fixative spray (I might need another solution. It washes away the pastels and activates the black gel pen. I had to rework a lot of detail in this piece. I might need more distance between the nozzle and the piece. i will update you on this decision.
