Indian Navy Inviting Applications Through 10+2 B Tech Cadet Entry Scheme for Permanent Commissioned Officers
The Indian Navy is inviting applications from unmarried male and female candidates for the 10+2 B Tech Cadet Entry Scheme to become Permanent Commissioned Officers in the Executive and Technical branches. The selected candidates will undergo a four-year B Tech course at the prestigious Indian Naval Academy (INA), Ezhimala, with the opportunity to serve in the Navy upon successful completion of training.

Key Highlights:
• Course Duration: 4 years B Tech at INA, Ezhimala.
• Qualification: B Tech in Applied Electronics & Communication Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Electronics & Communication Engineering.
• Degree: B Tech Degree awarded by Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) after completion.
Eligibility Criteria:
1. Educational Qualification:
Candidates must have passed the Senior Secondary Examination (10+2 Pattern) with at least 70% aggregate marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics (PCM), and 50% marks in English (either in Class X or XII).
2. JEE (Main) 2024:
Candidates must have appeared for the JEE (Main) 2024 exam for B.E/B.Tech. Selection for Service Selection Board (SSB) will be based on the JEE All India Common Rank List (CRL).
3. Medical Standards:
All recommended candidates must undergo a medical examination as per the guidelines on the Indian Navy website. No relaxation in medical standards will be provided.
Selection Procedure:
• SSB Interview: Candidates will be shortlisted based on JEE (Main) CRL and called for an SSB interview at one of the centers in Bangalore, Bhopal, Kolkata, or Visakhapatnam starting from March 2025.
• Merit List: Based on the marks obtained in the SSB interview, a merit list will be created.
Training:
• Induction: Selected candidates will undergo training for the 4-year B Tech course at Indian Naval Academy. Upon successful completion, candidates will be commissioned as Permanent Officers in the Indian Navy.
• Cost of Training: The Indian Navy will bear the entire cost of training, including books, reading material, clothing, and messing.
Pay & Allowances:
Details about pay, allowances, group insurance, gratuity, and leave entitlements will be available on the official Indian Navy website.
How to Apply:
• Candidates are to register and submit their applications online at www.joinindiannavy.gov.in.
• The application process includes filling out personal details, uploading necessary documents, and submitting the form.
• Candidates must also ensure to bring original documents (including marksheets, JEE Scorecard, and Date of Birth proof) while appearing for the SSB interview.
Important Notes:
• Only unmarried candidates are eligible to apply.
• Any candidate found to be married or marrying during training will be discharged from service and required to refund the training cost.
• Narcotics possession or usage is strictly prohibited; candidates may be tested during the selection process.
