Why you don't use FT8? And then you have to read the results on the PSK Reporter?

It will be a good loop antenna for SWL on MW and SW AM radios ?

Great job it looks to be very efficient as a receive antenna on 80m and maybe with a small increase in power it may well be heard better on transmit.and as you say arrange with a fellow ham operator to trial it out

Surprised your capacitor could provide enough C for 80m

Why are you using only the inner conductor in normal operation? Wouldn't it be better to use the outer conductor (=shield) for higher surface area and lower impedance (skin effect)? Also: Aren't you effectively shielding the inner loop with the outer one when doing a "two turn loop" in one cable?

I figure the greatest advantage of a small mag-loop is that it can be very narrow-banded on receive to limit noise, meaning having a high Q. That is done by having very low RF resistance, i.e. a large surface area conductor to reduce skin-effect losses. Coincidentally, that is also essential in order to get anything like acceptable transmit efficiency from such a tiny antenna relative to the wavelength on HF. So a large diameter conductor is mandatory for a mag-loop to be at all effective. I used 1 5/8 inch diameter hardline scraps to build both of my mag-loops, and they work well. But to further improve on them I plan to try using aluminum roof flashing instead.
Basically, using the inner conductor of standard coax will provide a very low Q because of the inner conductor's tiny surface area. If you aren't somewhere noisy so you don't need a narrow receive bandwidth antenna then using the outer braid as a conductor may work on receive OK, but for QRP transmitting it will provide you with only a few milliwatts of ERP. I'm a die-hard QRP fan, but I do enjoy actually making a contact once in a while, and a few milliwatts will seldom make an HF contact these days even using digital modes. Good luck, and thanks for the video. - 73

Hey Paul, how about a test at 80m with 20W power?

Why is it these antennas cost $40 from a no name manufacturer and $400 from a name brand?

Hi Paul I have question if you have any plan to sell this verion of your antenna? You can also sell upgrade kit for existing antennas, your antennas is very elegant design, so waiting for any news about project, 73

Lo spazio lamellare è molto stresso nel condensatore variabile, siamo sicuri che sia adatto anche alla trasmissione?

Hi Paul, I purchased your MC-20 and it works well! But wonder why you do not use the shiel of the main coax-loop? So I have the same question that @salat asked a month ago:
"Why are you using only the inner conductor in normal operation? Wouldn't it be better to use the outer conductor (=shield) for higher surface area and lower impedance (skin effect)? Also: Aren't you effectively shielding the inner loop with the outer one?"
Can´t imagine why it works this way 🙂would be glad if you teach me.
Very 73, Bernhard

Check your math concerning the value of the inductance of a short coil in relation to the number of turns, as a ham radio operator you really should know this.
