The ultimate synth multi-effects pedal? Eventide H9 review + top presets

Hello Loopop, do you plug your synth directly in the H9? Or do you connect it through a loop mixer?

Wow so each effect can be a custom chain or algorithm? Then you can put them in whatever order? I want to use this for djing and live production.

I have exactly the same question. Looking for a flexible all in one effect source for my modular, torn between H9 and Zoia. Trying to find. A Zoia fx for synths only demo somewhere…

@loopop, love your videos!! Q: does the H90 have everything the H9 can do? Also does the H90 have the capabilities to use a touch screen iPad too?

too bad that it's not possible to combine multiple algorythms like in the rack units..

I bought two of them, and I use both for my guitar setup, as well as my synth setup - love it so much!

I know it sounds weird but I prefer having Space as a separate pedal. I use it as send effect for the entire mix, Eventide algorytms are studio quality, alwats were.

Magic effects box! It sounds great. Turn any any synth sound into another maybe better sound. Very handy to use the ipad control software.

Just but the vst plugins unless you don’t have a computer or need it for live performance?

I'm not going to carry an iPad with me along with the synth and pedal. Am I limited if I don't use the app or can I access all the algorithms and modify them to suit?

Maybe for synthesists at home who are on a budget they should consider the ZoomMS70CDR pedal. Multi-effects in any series configuration, limited to DSP processing power; so on average about 4 effects simultaneously. I finally bought one this year, I delayed purchase because of all the mixed reviews. For recording synthesizers the Zoom is fantastic, sounds great, and you control the chain of effects in any order and parameter you wish. Cost: $150.00.

It's an amazing pedal, but I hate that you need extra peripherals to control it. Also, why does something that sounds this amazing still have the same style display as your average 1980's calculator? Why not at least a backlit LCD that can show more information at once? My wallet is on life support :{

Hi! I finally gave up for one of these… Browsing all the presets is a journey in itself and some are just astounding e.g. some pads from my old JX3P get huge breadth!
But I have some difficulties with the Freeze and Infinity functions: are theu available for every presets and the way to get to them is not that easy. I'm still a newbie to this device though!

I'm turning around quality effects for my synths for months years may be, around this one in particular…
It's a big investment but if I add a couple of Strymon or Meris pedals to obtain a quite similar set up in term of quality, I don't get the quantity, only the chaining ability…
It's a real dildemna!
