Morrison showed up at a downtown Vancouver club one night after a Doors gig. There was a Seattle band there for the week. After a quick confab with Jimbo, they settled on... guess which tune? Yep. That Van Morrison 3 chord special, G-L-O-R-I-A. I think they did a better version than this btw. But it was a long time ago, so my memory's a bit hazy.

I'm generally not a fan of covers. The majority s**k, IMO. True - there are some good ones. But this, friends, is one of the best. Again, in my opinion.

When I play The Doors very loudly in my car, the only way in my opinion, people from around my car can hear it and they always tell me how much they love this band too. I visited his grave in Paris and there were tons of notes, candles, etc all over it. They must have to clean it up every week.
