Btw you can use the online version of microsoft office completely free of charge. So if you are considering any of the mentioned online services, have the office in mind too. It also offers 5gb of free storage.

Just saying. I prefer to use offline editors, but i do use the online version of office sometimes.

This is a misleading title, don't say that those "completely free" if the one you are highlighting have limited tools and capability which you can access only if you pay.

Thank you for this presentation and explanation of Word/Office alternatives. The majority of the time I just need to create and edit a Word document so it's nice to know which options offer document creation and the ability to work both on and offline.wps is good.

Nothing is better than LibreOffice, but the issue is no mobile version available (Collabora is a pure shit) and looks traditional.

OnlyOffice looks very good, BUT it doesn't offer hyphenation, which is a must for writers ;-) Their customer support suggests we use dash? Really?

I have stopped using Microsoft's version because they have just kept adding so much bloatware over the years that I don't care for.

the only good one is WPS, the others are trash and good to go to the garbage

These free alternatives are good and all but nothing can really beat Apache OpenOffice and LibreOffice. 😊

None of these are actually free since the key features they all need require you to pay

free version of free office is good but missing lots of features to get those you need to buy - for example drop down lists in planmaker cant be created in the "free" version
