I'm always amused when someone SAYS "...of all time" but really MEANS a specific era. Granted, I'm only approaching 40 years old, but there are a metric ton of awesome, headbanging heavy metal tracks from the current millennium, and not a single one of them was mentioned. A little disappointed, really, and this video should be amended to say "...of the 1900s" or "...of the 70s, 80s, and 90s."

I agree putting them on top isn't wrong per se, but you left out Led Zeppelin.
Best song, best band ever period is Led Zeppelin Stairway To Heaven.
That's not my opinion that is consistant in poll after poll.
Yes many many songs from these bands could be argued to be thier best work.

I personally think, that Megadeth should have been higher on the list and Metallica's song Ride the lighning or Seek and destroy should have been on the list. Raining blood from slayer also needed to be included. From Diamond head and motorhead, there should at least be one song included. Anyway, pretty good picks and nice video.

there are other songs that shoulda made this list... Slayer's Repentless is one of those songs... newcomer from Italy, Frozen Crown's Neverending shoulda made this list too... another newcomer, Majestica, and their thunderous "Above the Sky" and "Ghost of Marley" songs should have made this list... the classics are great, but the newcomers are better... speed metal is the future

If I have to explain metal to anyone in just one song, I'd pick "Painkiller" -- glad to see it on the list and near the top... there is no more complete metal song, showcasing everything from the riffs, to the arpeggios to the high vocals. It's the pinnacle of metal. The perfect metal song.

The worst top of metal i ever see, 11 to 20 all are worst than honorable mentions , sorry for black sabath fans but they are not nº 1 of all time(ok they inventing this thing but many songs are great than that)

Black Sabbath's Black Sabbath and "The Devil's Tritone". Iommi was genius for using this ancient musical interval to kick off their amazing catalog of music. Really set the tone for what was to come.
