ОтветитьHow have you done your behind-monitor bias lighting? Looks great. Is it a single pointed light source on the wall, facing down?
Ответитьhey can you do a studio/office/room tour ? I like the color scheme of your workspace and need some inspiration.
ОтветитьI'm just a developer looking at text all day and started to become a little bit annoyed with the text rendering on my 1440p gaming display.
At the same time, it was quite hard to find a do-it-all monitor: USB-C with power delivery (preferably 90+ watts), high refresh rate, good response times, the right resolution. But I come to the conclusion it doesn't exist.
For gaming, I much prefer a 1440p display. For working on Mac, 5k can't be beaten.
My dream monitor would be a 5k 144hz, low response time monitor, but I think that will be years from now. I just decided to get the Studio Display and can't wait for it to arrive.
I'll have to move my gaming setup or something, which will be a bit annoying. But it is the best compromise in the end for me. Thanks for the help.
I'm a university student in graphic design and also do streaming/ some comp gaming. I've been debating either getting a second dedicated monitor LG ULTRAFINE. or just getting something hybrid that I could use for kind of everything. Currently have a zowie 240 hz that i use for gaming and with my macbook with a kvm switch. Just thinking of investing in a proper monitor for creative work. Does anyone have suggestions? (this video game at the perfect time haha thanks so much!)
ОтветитьReally bad idea recommending monitors right before CES. Price of this thing will drop and newer better monitors are about to take it's place.
ОтветитьWow
Ответитьcan you do the same with an 34“ ultrawide monitor?
ОтветитьMonitor wise. Better price. Productivity. LG DUAL UP. 90w power delivery. 99% DCI-p3
Just at 1/3 of the price.
I am having the same setup of one monitor and laptop. I'm planning to connect my PS5 as well. Currently, I'm using extension cord for monitor and laptop and connect them using hdmi cord. How you switch between laptop and PS5.Pls advise
ОтветитьInnocn 32" 4k mini-led. It's amazing. 90w power delivery, 144hz, hdr1000, color accurate. It's worth your time to check out!
ОтветитьThe philips monitor link doesn't work :/
ОтветитьDoes this have a built-in KVM switch? And how to seamlessly switch between Mac and PS5?
ОтветитьI've actually been thinking about this a lot recently. How's the color accuracy?
ОтветитьI agree. I had wide screen, 55 inch TV and 43 inch TV for monitor, now I'm using only one 27 inch monitor. One monitor is enough.
ОтветитьHow funny. I reignited my interest in buying a monitor (from which introduced me to your channel) from your video over the Eve/Dough Spectrum I watched last year. Given the company's track record, I didn't go for it at the time and I'm patiently waiting for the Spectrum Black to arrive along with improvements to their whole operations/have reassurance of purchasing via a retailer. Needing a monitor in the interim, I researched, and saw the Philips M1RV hands down the best spec on paper, especially at that price point. I felt like I must have been missing something, because there was so little coverage/reviews of the monitor to be found. Anyway I pulled the trigger on one on black Friday 2022 (albeit the 27 inch version for <£500) and have been using it the last year. As a bit of a novice I've questioned whether I've missed out on not opting for one of the mainstream monitors you hear about all the time so now seeing this video I feel completely vindicated in my choice. Great content as always Oliur (immediately subbed after seeing the Eve Spectrum video). Would love to see you do a review of the 32" Dough Spectrum Black when available in 2024 (fingers crossed) and also give your candid opinions on the state of the company and whether they can be considered as redeeming themselves.
ОтветитьWhat mouse & keyboard are you using currently?
ОтветитьWhat monitor would you recommend if I'm playing 2 player game?
ОтветитьWhats the black laptop stand please?
ОтветитьInteresting that you have this issue with max. 120Hz instead of 144Hz.
I have the LG38WN95C-W which has 144Hz too but the display settings on my MacBook shows 144Hz output 🤔🤷🏻♂️
Maybe it‘s the monitor because the Mac is capable of the higher refresh rate.
I also went through the same meme cycle over the past 15 years.
Now I’m using the Dell G3223Q. 4K 32” 144hz IPS.
I don’t get the USBC, but I’m using a Dell dock that my husband’s company sent him for WFH, so I’m still able to get a one cable solution for my MBP
Whats that keyboard?
ОтветитьI would love a monitor like this, but with an OLED panel. Anyone know of something similar?
ОтветитьPhillips! I'm surprised they're still around.
ОтветитьLG C2/C3 42’’ OLED all the way. Works @ 120hz on my MacBookPro M1 via USB-C (4k native, for my work as a Product Designer) and @ 120hz for gaming via HDMI 2.1 to my gaming PC. I had a 32’’ before and thought 42 will be way too big but after a very short time I settled and I wouldn’t want to go back.
ОтветитьCould never go back to a single monitor. Espeically for work.
Great video though!!
What would be your recommendation if you’re just looking for 1440p?
ОтветитьWhat’s the model? Can’t use the Amazon link
ОтветитьI think the lg 27gp950-b is pretty good. Although it doesn’t have usb-c
ОтветитьI had this monitor - the only thing the Dough (incredibly scammy company btw) has over this is the USB 3.1 gen 2 ports (so actually guaranteeing higher speed data transfer). This is a good buy, I prefer the 27" size. Otherwise you have the Cooler Master not as well known but also quite good.
ОтветитьLenovo Legion Y32p-30 has similar specs but cheaper at $524 on their website.
ОтветитьWhat about switching between connected devices? Especially between a connected mac and pc incl. Keyboard and mouse?
ОтветитьNext video idea… “How I make my abstract wallpapers”
ОтветитьWhat about Nintendo game cube?
ОтветитьI am interested for a monitor with the same specs but in ultrawide format. If you have any recomendation I would love to hear it!
ОтветитьYou need to go USB - C < DP1.4 for the full 144hz
ОтветитьHow about the Spectrum One - risk on the brand perhaps
ОтветитьI'd be interested to know about MacOS scaling on this, as I'm sure you know it scales in 1440p, so the PPI for this monitor is not optimal, but how noticeable is this. Great video as normal!
ОтветитьHow's the color accuracy of this monitor?
ОтветитьWhy matte screen ;(
ОтветитьIt has to have 4K so that macOS doesn’t scale properly and you need a better PC to run games …
ОтветитьAny OLED alternative?
ОтветитьBad experiences with Phillips monitor
ОтветитьTeam one monitor let's go
ОтветитьDough Spectrum Black
ОтветитьGreat video and glad you talked about the 5k resolution for retina. The scaling on 4K monitors is horrible coming from a retina 5k display at work. Studio display is horribly expensive and I can’t find a good way to repurpose my old gorgeous 27” iMac retina screen from 2015 with my MBP M1 without changing the motherboard and scrapping the whole computer inside… Anyways good video 👌
ОтветитьInterested to know the model of your LG OLED 240Hz.
I am still rocking 38inch LG Ultragear monitor (38GN950-B) and love the massive screen estate for 3 windows at the same time 😂
Lovely aesthetic
ОтветитьWhy not the acer nitro? 4k 144hz usb c w 90 watts PD hdr1000.... it is cheaper...
Ответить
