Hell no!...........I'm already in Davinci and I ain't going back! Adobe abused it with their prices! They did it to themselves by being greedy!😂

adobe is a software only company so the hardware benefits of Davinci (speed editor, color wheel panel etc) will always be better & more efficient

My understanding is color slice uses subtractive saturation, unlike most of the other base color tools in Resolve, and the advantage to using it is it mimics how saturation works in film, and can give one richer colors without drifting towards comic book like saturation. I would recommend doing a side by side grade using color slice and comparing it's results to the way one is used to grading before dismissing it.

Gimmick features added in both apps that will only get used once in a while. Stability, smoothness and polish are what will stand the test of time and as of now, Premiere has a lot of catching up to do if it wants to be in Resolves neighborhood.

Never heading back to Adobe just cuz of repeated crashes. Not good for client work. No matter how many new features.

The only thing I've ever lust after in Premiere is its ability to not pretzel yourself about audio track length.

Regardless of what Adobe does Resolve will ALWAYS BE BETTER! Why? Because you don't have to rent Resolve. Adobe proves that millions love to be abused as well as being slaves.

I've spent 28 years in TV and the last 14 years editing full time for F1 and a whole host of others. I edit on Avid, Prem and occasionally Davinci. If a freelance job comes up and I'm the only editor, then I would now use Davinci, if a collaborative job comes up then I almost always have to use Prem Pro because that's the most common program used for broadcast nowadays. Avid still exists in larger facilities and has its place. There is no reason to use Prem if you edit alone, Davinci is better in most regards now and there is no subscription. If you load up Prem with enough plugins to cover what you can do in Davinci, the cost difference is huge. The main problem is that most motion graphics are generated in After Effects, and doing without After Effects is the pain. Yes, I know Fusion, I've been working with it since Fusion 8, but it's just not as good for motion graphics.

no

it's so funny seeing the new ai tools in premiere are all gimmicks where the ai tools in resolve are genuine tools for professional workflows.

‏Thank you for everything you do. I would like to ask you. I downloaded the paid version of Davenci the past, but this week I had to format my laptop, but when I downloaded again it was in the unpaid version. So do I have to pay again to get the studio version

also can you make a video about how you colored showering clips becouse it only had a low lighting and you controled every thing with colors perfectly
( if you have time 😅 )

Eh, I use both. There’s things I don’t like in Premiere but things I like in Resolve and vice versa. I usually edit in Premiere and finish in Reaolve.

The $20 a month for Premiere is a tax write off, it allows me to use a portfolio site, use Adobe PDF to create and sign contracts, etc. And knowing how to use it has landed me jobs at a lot of agencies to provide a roof over my head.

For individual uses and for someone’s own projects, Resolve makes sense for sure. I did a Verizon commercial at an agency using it since they switched from Avid. But for a career as strictly an editor (my day job) the first thing I get asked is if I know Avid or Premiere. Resolve is a “nice to know” but not too many people in the commerical/trailer/tv industry use it

Better? No. Plus, why would I switch to a subscription based model that costs me every year what I spend only once to get a permanent license for Resolve. Plus, if you want to do visual effects, that's another chunk of money for After Effects added on to the annual subscription costs. DaVinci Resolve for the win!!

I always felt like premiere’s white balance felt like I was adding a Blue or Yellow solid and changed its blending mode and opacity. I switched in 2018, and not sure I could ever go back…

Nope. A few gimmicks won't erase the bitter taste of Ppro's inevitable crashes. Plus Resolve Music Remix AI is great and the grading is second to none.

I can’t even watch your video because of the title. I don’t know if it’s a Clickbait title or if you’re even considering the possibility. Is your Ford focus better than my Tesla. If you think premiere Pro is better than resolve then you are absolutely clueless in every possible way!
