Let me know what your favourite tarp shelter set up is?
Ответить😊😊😊 hey thanks for these. Loving the gunyah!
ОтветитьWhat is a good tarp you guys use?
ОтветитьBungalow is new to me, I’ll try it next time 😎
ОтветитьUnreal i had no idea of the possibilities of the tarp cheers
ОтветитьI get loads of immersion with nature when I open the flaps in my tent.
ОтветитьIs there any difference between a gunyah setup and an adirondack?
ОтветитьSo it's basically an adirondack shelter but remove one of the back pegs and pull out the corner of the tarp to create a line.
Cool ill try this
Thank you for showing these tarp setups! I think the Gunyah will be my new favorit.
ОтветитьGreat video!
ОтветитьThis one is perfect. Thanks for this video. 💪
ОтветитьThank you for this video. Sweet setups. Subscribed.
ОтветитьAnd you've obviously never woken up at 2 in the morning with a pack of coyotes staring at you...prey...
ОтветитьYou have many very poisonous snakes In your country I would think a tent would be much safer as it zips up and has a floor should keep snakes out?
Thanks for your time.
🧠🌟
ОтветитьDo NOT buy from Bearhard. Their "thermal" tarp LEAKS along the mid-seam and their "customer service" is AWFUL. Avoided my emails, and provide NO customer service phone number! Nothing! They refused to replace it, or even offer an apology. Please do NOT send BEARHARD any $. They took my $ and ran, and they'll do the same to you. SCUMBAGS
ОтветитьWell your love for tarp camoing is obvious your information is so wonderful. Thank You. I am in Florida U S A and we have so many snakes. The tarp is like not so good with caming in winter time, as the snakes want to get into a warm place and in they come to me with a warm sleeping bag. On occasions I had two snakes in the tarp with me???? NOT GOOD. hoW DO YOU KEEP THEM OUT.??
ОтветитьTried out the Gunyah this weekend - worked a treat! Thank you!
ОтветитьThis is slick. Nice instructional video.
ОтветитьLove Camping❤
ОтветитьI like the idea of the first one, with another tarp at like shoulder level or a little lower just to deflect rain or wind from the entrance by default, and give some sheltered space outside of your actual living space
Ответить#3 is called a 'plow point' in the states.
Ответить"Start with pegging" Jesus, you don't hang about, at least take me for dinner first 🤣🤣
ОтветитьTarps are the BEST - except for those pesky ticks, mosquitoes, black flies, spiders and every other bug 😆. My favourite was the first one - the Gunya.
ОтветитьJust remember to always avoid low places where the rain water runs to and make ditches to catch and drain the rain off the tent area
ОтветитьThe first reminds me of an Adirondack
ОтветитьThe one thing about tarps ? You can't always keep crawlers !?? The ones that come looking for bite a nasty bite too !!? So if I can some how keep out them fuckers I don't mind using tarps at all !!
ОтветитьGreat video! But what about deadly poisonous snakes? Don’t you have several of those? I live in Maine, USA. We have a lot flying insects that bite and plenty of ticks that carry Lyme disease.
ОтветитьHey Scotty. Im here in QLD and am wondering how you go about beating those mosquitos and midgies with a tarp setup. I know Alton sell a nice looking bug net but It does not look like you use one very often?
ОтветитьGreat video, thanks 👍
ОтветитьAs a truck driver I’ve never seen that “truckies hitch” lol
Ответитьwhat do you outdoor people do about bugs when using a shelter? i went to kings canyon and there was ants everywhere. i ended up borrowing a tent..
Ответитьscotty you ingenious bastard, these are great!
ОтветитьI dig it! It’s basically an Adirondack style shelter with a floor mat. The aforementioned is my go to
ОтветитьCheers from an Aussie in USA :)
Love the Gunya !.... I love tarp shelters but I get Deer, Raccoons, Coyote, Black Bears & f***ing Skunks in my back yard so I am sleeping with one eye open lol.
aHAHAHAHA, tarp camping in Australia. AUSTRALIA!
ОтветитьGot here from Marty Morissette's YT channel - he loves your Gunyah, and included your link. 👍
ОтветитьSome cracking setups .👍🏕
Ответитьim just starting to do camping ,i like this video
ОтветитьGreat video Scotty. Love the pyramid setup. Shared this video with my dad. Thanks!!!!!
ОтветитьGREAT pitches!!! I really like the geometries of the first two... I'm looking forward to trying them out ASAP! You Aussies need to start posting more content rather than keeping all the good stuff to yourselves! 😉 👍
Ответитьmantap ka salam aku dari Indonesia😊
ОтветитьThese are some great looking shelters, I'm keen to try them next time I get out!
Your pacing and presentation is fantastic, too. Your instructions are clear and concise, with only as many words as needed.
your set-ups are- superb
ОтветитьGood job👌🤩☕
ОтветитьNice mate. Origami tarp construction at its finest. I like the first one and the tarp tent the most.
ОтветитьRealy Nice! Makes me wanna sleep on the ground again instead of sleeping in the hammock 😂💪🏻😍 realy Nice
ОтветитьNice, thanks for showing us. Take care.
