Damn its the first time i see a video of ken coleman or this podcast/channel. It seems really good! I just realised that I want to to work around educated( maybe graduated people)
ОтветитьSweetheart you’re 20. Look at me 38 and still trying to figure it out.
ОтветитьMy advice is choose a career that fits your personality. For example, introverts should look into IT or jobs dealing with numbers instead of people. Work is work. We're never gonna truly enjoy work, so at least find one that fits your personality.
ОтветитьShit I’m 36 fuck
ОтветитьI’m 28 and still lost in life in terms what I want to do. Becoming more and more hopeless and scared with every day that passes by.
ОтветитьEmily.A person with same interest as mine.Thank you for clearing my way.
ОтветитьSome of us would just be glad to have a job to pay the bills
ОтветитьI'm 36 working as scale service technician. I don't know what I am interested in. I don't know what I am good at.
ОтветитьThis genuinely helped me so much after years of struggle. Thank you.
ОтветитьThere's nothing I have passion for or enjoy, oops
ОтветитьMe personally I want to make good money but enjoy my job at the same time
Ответитьthis video has helped me so much♥ It literally made me cry! Because I have made the same experience.
Ответитьso who else is looking for their passion and wants to join a gc
ОтветитьI have an old friend in Shelby. Wonder how Emily is doing today?
ОтветитьI used to work retail, always loved animals and I became a dog groomer. I am a victim and survivor of domestic violence and my hand was broken and damaged and Im not the same. Physically I cant do what I was doing and emotionally I just dont want to do anything. 😢🫤 6 months later I need some kind of work and new career, mt dominant hand doesnt work the same and I am in pain consistently. I dont know what to do...
ОтветитьWhat is your career advice for people close to their 40s? What if you reached that age and you still dont know what is your 'thing'? Is it too late?
ОтветитьIm 23 years old and have yet to decide what i want to do with my life, the only 2 things i can think of is electrcian or a dental hygienist
ОтветитьI spent 4 years studying a high school teaching degree but decided in the fourth year of study that it wasn’t for me. Although I liked elements of teaching, I could never get comfortable with the public speaking and my anxiety couldn’t handle it,
I’ve had a few other jobs since but it’s only to get paid and I live for the weekend. I feel like there’s heaps of thing I’m interested in but nothing I want to do for 40 hours a week. I don’t know if my lazy, depressed or just haven’t found my area yet.
I was always someone who never knew what I wanted to do and change my mind constantly constantly, even as a kid.
I’ve thought about this for so long that it’s exhausting. I’ve given up looking for my one thing that’ll make me happy. it doesn’t exist for me.
❤
ОтветитьNot even kidding it feels like this video spoke straight to me 🙈 I feel like me and Emily are the same person haha
ОтветитьWith a nursing degree she could become aesthetic laser specialist, work online from home in telemedicine, many roles besides hospital. It seems though that she may be led by guilt instead of even exploring what she really wants to do and she may not have even explored what she is passionate about.
ОтветитьMy least favorite saying ever is "get a job doing something you love and you'll never work a day in your life." There is nothing I love so much that I want to do it 8 hours a day every day. For example, I like fishing, but if I had to mandatorily fish 8 hours a day every day, I would start to hate it very quickly.
ОтветитьAnd what if your passion doesn't pay the bills?
Ответитьim 32 and im where emily is right now. lol im still searching. i also walked away from nursing in my 20s.
ОтветитьWhat I've seen in people that have made it is that nothing happened to be a waste. Everyone is guided by laws of attraction down the path they need to go down in order to aquire the skills and understanding they WILL use in their life's purpose. Working wth children, it would be a lifesaver to have the skills of a nurse to identify situations and signals in an emergency, especially when dealing wwith children that don't verbally express themselves in a way we would always understand. She might end up saving one of their lives someday. The point is appreciate everything that you do because it CAN be applied in something meaningful in the future.
ОтветитьHi Ken. I am lost too. Been lost for 15 years being in the workforce. Warehousing/security/deliveries/mining and more i have done. Every few years I lose interest in them and i quit. This cycle has been going for 15 years. Hitting 40 now😢. One thing constant with every job in the past- After a few years in that job----This is not what i wanna do😢.
One thing i do know about myself- i can meet people and talk to them. Not sure where to go... Help . help. I want the remaining years to have meaning and not that i did to earn a living
I am 26, just left a well paying job because I didn't like it. Before that also I left a job because it wasn't interesting me. Now I don't know what to do. Also, I don't want to join back what I did earlier as I didn't like it. Feeling stuck and depressed now. Sitting at home unemployed for the last 5-6 months. Is my life over?😭😭
ОтветитьI'm from Shelby NC!!!
ОтветитьWell I'm 46 and still don't know what I want to do or that I would be good at. It sucks and I'm stuck
ОтветитьI'm 29 and currently unemployed and never went to college and can't find work..i been working Nothing but warehouse work
ОтветитьWhy doesn't she become a pediatric nurse?
ОтветитьMy biggest issue is I don't know if I am good enough to follow a profession
ОтветитьThe only things I get flow from are gaming and trying to repair things. But I am terrible at figuring out how to work on and repair things (I never know what tools to use or what materials to use for repairing things) so idk what to do either. I just hate my office job working with numbers and data.
ОтветитьIm 28 and struggling hard to find a job I like and will pay me enough to live.
ОтветитьSo I like to work with finances, organize and plan. So A career is in Hr is for me? 🤷🏻♀️
ОтветитьI’m already in a college, and I’m doing my courses but I still feel doubtful, and unsure of what I’m doing, I feel confused and I fear that what I’m doing won’t bring me result sometimes I get little hope but at times I feel scared and sometimes I just feel depressed and I don’t know why I’m feeling this way please I just need your advice what causes a person to feel that way and how can I know if the career is wrong or right for me.
Ответитьcrying this is so helpful, never too late, never wasted any time even though it feels so...
ОтветитьEmily, just stick out nursing for the paycheck. I’m 32 and struggled with this same thing probably forever. You probably wont ever figure out a career you love so just get paid well so you can afford the things you love to do. I never figured it out, and now I work 60 hours a week, live at home, have no girlfriend or friends anymore and still can’t afford anything.
Ответитьbro im 27 and i hate my job lmfaooooooooo
ОтветитьThanks alot.
Ответить"I want to be an artist and have an amazing life."
My death anxiety: Hey.
Im 22 and in a similar position, im a truck driver only bc my dad does it and I saw his checks but def not a career for me
ОтветитьI’m 41 and feel the same way. It seems like I can’t figure out what I want to do, and anything I do want to do seems beyond my grasp.
Ответитьgoing through what this nurse is going through as a dentist :)
Ответитьcame across this video at a time exactly when I needed to see it!
ОтветитьI’m a nurse day to day sucks physically. But I need stable income as I have a mortgage and a kid and no one I can turn to if I miss a months pay check. It’s okay at age 22 to be ambivalent but reality is it’s not the same for everybody.
ОтветитьMy problem is that everything sounds interesting 😂. I can’t choose one it’s ridiculous. It goes into a downward spiral of overthinking all the possibilities and what happens if I do one over the other
Ответитьim 36 and still in changing way all the time shifting through 2 different jobs. im really tired. wish i could know my real mission on the earth
ОтветитьCaller is going to do SO Well if she takes Speech Therapy; the anatomy & physiology coursework she's already familiar with from her nursing program!
ОтветитьI'm 30, soon to be 31. I've been in my current job for more than 4 years. Unfortunately, there aren't any career advancement opportunities where I am. I'm stuck at the bottom. I don't know what else I want to do for a job. I don't qualify for anything. I have no real marketable skills.
