Agree with Merrill on Caleb. He is talented but not special. He damn sure isn’t Patrick Mahomes. The one thing I have always told people about why he isn’t Mahomes, Mahomes plays hero ball when he has to, where as Caleb plays because he wants to. Major difference.

Up until a year ago, tv pundits were still predicting Trey Lance and Justin Fields were MVP candidates. The NFL didn’t even think they were worth a late round pick.

Merril Hodge, Drew Brees was 6.0., That is one inch shorter than Bo Nix.

Caleb Williams threw a higher % of his passes behind/@ the LOS than Nix, yet that's not a negative. CW played against the same Pac12 defenses as Nix, yet it's only a negative for Nix. Win or Lose, Nix still played great against top ranked defenses, they say Nix is surrounded by talent. CW gets crushed and plays bad vs top ranked D, it called a lack of talent... AT USC? PFF has Nix as a better QB than CW. What am I missing? There seems to be an ulterior motive when it comes to not liking Nix.

Cmon Colin: You're the same guy who conceded two national championships to U.S.C. when Lincoln Riley and Caleb Williams showed up, and NOW, you say Caleb is ultra special because he was on a bad team and still did well. PICK ONE, and then stick with it.

I thot Nix played better than Penix Jr in both games last year...extended plays, accurate, confident and experienced...i could be wrong..i thot Big Ben was gonna be a great NFL qb, and also thot Peyton Manning would get destroyed in the NFL...so who knows...but i think Bo will show at least a bit of excellence!

I think Daniels is the best pure passer in this draft. Best long ball, best runner too. He's fast and elusive, playmaker. Put on about ten or fifteen pounds and he'll be special. Maybe give him a redshirt year

Drake Maye Daniels, Mccarthy top 10 , Penix late 1st because of injury are the only QB's I would take in this draft. I would trade the pick if they were not available. Nix can't go 1st rd. He played catch from a protected pocket .

It's always exciting to see discussions around potential draft picks, especially when it involves quarterback talents like Bo Nix, Caleb Williams, and J.J. McCarthy. These players have shown incredible skill and promise in their college careers, and it's thrilling to speculate how they could shape the future for teams like the Broncos and Bears. Each player brings a unique set of strengths to the table, and it's fascinating to imagine how they might fit into the NFL's dynamic environment. The draft process is a pivotal time for teams to build their strategy and foundation for the coming years, and adding a talented quarterback can be a game-changer. Here's to hoping whichever teams land these promising athletes see great success in their future endeavors!

If I were Poles, I would trade back a few places in the draft and grab one of the top receivers. Then draft JJ McCarthy with the ninth pick and let him develop for a year behind Fields. If Fields does not pan out, trade him next year and you have McCarthy ready to go. Not sold on the top three QBs being better than JJ, Penix, or Nix.

I think Giants will be drafting JJ McCarthy, and I saw the GM from the Minnesota Vikings, following Bo Nix around at the NFL Combine on interview the players day, which I believe the Vikings will be drafting Bo Nix, because they are not going to renew contract with Kurt Cousins. Which leaves Denver Broncos stuck without an option at QB in the draft, and they will have already gotten rid of Russell Wilson, and no cap space to sign Kurt Cousins, so Denver will have to use their second pick in the draft to draft the QB from Tulane, early and lose value at that pick. Things are not looking good for Denver. Don’t dismiss what I’m saying, I’m on point with this assessment.
