Since I started to travel and explore Asia, Afghanistan has always been my dream country. The movies I have watched and the books I have read about Afghanistan have built dreamy expectations in my head of the country that I would not be able to experience anywhere else.

My visit did not disappoint - Afghanistan was time travel from bustling & unorganized bazaars, street shaves, same clothing in different colors, no brands, magnificent landscapes, and the bravest people with the biggest hearts of hospitality.

In my trip, we covered Mazar-i-Sharif, Kabul & Bamyan.

Visiting Afghanistan is a sensitive topic for many people. As in any country I go to, the main objective is to share the day-to-day life and spotlight the ordinary people that the mass media fail to capture. No matter how you feel about my trip, here is my summary.

Despite facing significant challenges, Afghanistan has many positive aspects that deserve recognition: diverse landscapes, rich history, warm hospitality, delicious cuisine, resilient people, and more!

Safety:

This was the biggest concern of many people I have talked to, and naturally, that has been the main worry when you enter a war-torn country over the last 40 years. With the takeover of the Taliban, the country is much safer than before; at least no conflicts are going on.

My Persian surname, which is the same as the current supreme leader of the Taliban, my cultural background, being a man with a +3 years long beard, and looking like one of the locals do not qualify me to talk about safety much when it comes to being a tourist. I had a significant advantage, considering the above.

Disclaimer: This is not a travel advisory. Afghanistan has a government that has not been recognized by any country, with no embassies and international relations. I am a professional traveler who explored the country with an organized guide.

As an American, I'd love to visit Afghanistan. I'd also love to visit Iran. To bad governments get in the way of the people and make it hard for us to coexist, enjoy each other as people, and experience cultures outside of our own. Much love to all of the people of Afghanistan.

One the portions were very small and there were no naan which is basic in every afghan food but he forgot to give you naan with the side dish which comes with palaw.

U said biryani is persian food ? 😂
Since they claim all the civilixation of middle east i guess theyve recently stolen this food too
Bcuz when i lived there theyve never heard of it and since afghans in iran made biryani or plov or what ever , they got to know it and they were shoced how tasty it is !
Funny part is that everyone who has nothing, claim to have everything , all the heritage they have in iran has the actual signature of language , architect , art and culture of neighbours.
The teuth about how fake iran is will come out soon , iran was an east indian company project .
All these fake history books are pumped from india aka east india trading company.
Theres so much questionable facts in iran history that nothing about it makes sense ,ur gonna be shocked how many things in iran history is controversial and contradictional , so much that even iran historians have lots of question.
They say for example sasanids conquers certain place, but later we found out sasanids were paying tax for the kings of that certain place.
Or they say this language is persian , but later we found out since the invention of this language it took 600 yrs till iran started using this language meanwhile in other regions it was national language .
Theres so so much things that i cant fit in one or even 10 comments !
The house of iran history cards will finally fall and everybody would know the role of east india trading company that made up this country after fall of ottoman empire

Fellow Americans don't concern yourselves with middle east countries. You should be more worried about the corrupt Biden regime and his democrat cronies. Leave the middle east to be governed by their rules, laws and religions. America never belonged over there. Osama was trained and educated by the CIA before and during the war with Russia in the 70s. Saddam was given the keys to the city of Detroit to establish an arab American community there. Ho Chi Minh gave the US the opportunity to side with his cause before the Vietnam war. We've been duped by our own government for decades. You wanna use anger...use it against Biden and the government. Liars, war mongers, cheaters, racist leaders. And yes...I'm a veteran. Sick of the lies our own government perpetrates on the world. Research it all yourself..facts

Afghanistan was very westernized until middle of 1970s, when US backed Mujahideen, a tribal communities far away from Kabul to counter offensive the USSR that became Taliban that turned into an Afghan government.

Afghanistan has so much natural resources, but the current major setbacks are obviously the Taliban's radical views of religion, politics, judicial and economic development for all its citizens.

Thousands of Americans have lost their lives for absolutely nothing . United States hasn't made one bit of difference other than ask their men and women to die for a country that couldn't care less about them , United States has pulled out of every fight since 1951 and accomplished NOTHING . Politicians love these wars , their personal investments are in weapons , defense contractors , they make money on our children's lives .
