"For the first time in my life, I can't see my future. Every day goes by in a haze"
SAME.
It's my life in real. ❤❤
ОтветитьAbsolutely beautiful film
ОтветитьTHIS IS MY LIFE, EVERYDAY!
ОтветитьBeautiful movie. Colin Firth should have won the Oscar for it. 😘👌
ОтветитьThe most beautiful movie ever!
ОтветитьFor the past 8 months, waking up has actually hurt,
cold realisation that I'm still here slowly sets in.
I was never terribly fond of waking up.
I was never one to jump out of bed and greet the day with a smile like Jim was.
I used to want to punch him sometimes in the morning he was so happy.
I always used to tell him that only fools greet the day with a smile, that only fools could possibly escape the simple truth that now isn’t simply now: it’s a cold reminder. One day later than yesterday, one year later than last year and that sooner or later it will come.
He used to laugh at me and then give me a kiss on the cheek.
It takes time in the morning for me to become George, time to adjust to what is expected of George and how he is to behave.
By the time I have dressed and put the final layer of polish on the now slightly stiff but quite perfect George I know fully what part I’m supposed to play.
Looking in the mirror staring back at me isn’t so much a face as the expression of a predicament.
Just get through the goddamn day.
A bit melodramatic, I guess.
But then again, my heart has been broken.
That's one gorgeous looking house.
ОтветитьPlease pray for Tom Ford who recently lost his Husband Richard Buckley to Throat Cancer. It's eerie. In this movie George tries to go through life without Jim and now Tom will do the same thing.
ОтветитьIsn't Jim an architect? I wonder if he designed the house as well.
ОтветитьAlso George having certain things in his Bowl it reminded me of The Channel Hueguh where The Narrator Eric who works in Silicon Valley, does the same thing with his Wallet, Keys and Workbadge.
ОтветитьI lost someone and it crazy how much I feel every word he’s saying, and the worst is that I don’t know how to do then that person took everything I wanted with him
ОтветитьI just realized that Tom Ford in his own way paid homage to Boys In The Band. Remember in "Both" Versions Michael had a Stand to keep his Clothes on. Then George's Home is so clean, neat and organized where Michael (1970) wasn't a hoarder but he had alot of Sweaters, where in the 2020 Version Michael had alot of Colognes and stuff on his Dresser and I think "You have so much and you spend so much because you may feel you have this image to project".
ОтветитьGeorge has got such swag. His Dresser is so neatly organized. He has his Colognes and a Bowl with his Tieclip and Wallet. Tell me folks, are Tieclips still a fashionable thing. I don't really see men wearing them. Also I love his Razor, he may have bought it with him from England. For me when I start my day but I'm Female, I make my Toilet, Wash, Brush My Teeth, Make Sure I have My Lunch, I read a Bible Passage, then I take my Kindle Tablet, put it in my Knapsack, Lock The Door, go To The Bustop and start my day but with Covid, you have to be so much more careful. Him, Julian Kaye in American Gigolo, and Tony Manero in Saturday Night Fever were brilliant in terms of Men getting dressed.
Ответить“Looking back at me isn’t so much a face, as an expression of a predicament.” 😳get out of my head Tom Ford.
ОтветитьWho's here because this movie is a school assignment?
ОтветитьThis scene almost perfectly depicts the daily life of someone who's depressed
ОтветитьWhat's also so heartbreaking was that because it was 1962, and LGBT Rights weren't recognized, George came out of the relationship with "Nothing" and he couldn't even come to The Funeral because he wouldn't have been recognized. I had no idea that the Actors who played Kenny & Jim were also British. They are amazing.
ОтветитьI remember reading this book first before the movie. So good.
ОтветитьTengo un link de descarga. Esta en ingles pero con subtitulada en español. ¿Quien lo quiere?
Ответитьstupid story, good acting
ОтветитьA near perfection. What a movie!!!
ОтветитьIs it ok that this is actually me.
ОтветитьI love this scene - it also reminds me of the opening of American Psycho even though the characters couldn't be more different...
ОтветитьSo sad that he thought he was suffering from a broken heart, but in actuality he really had a heart condition that he didn't get treated.
ОтветитьI'm glad you left the flashbacks of Jim in. Other posters cut those out.
Ответитьits been so many years since the movie released. it still, one of the most beautiful movie that I had ever seen. And this scene would probably be the sweetest and heartbroken scene for me in the entire movie. no matter how many times I had watched this scene, I would tears up, its so beautiful yet so heartbroken.
